Is there any thing you wish the Ranger can be better and what other pickups were you looking before you bought yours?

Overall very satisfied with this truck. I was struggling between Triton VGT and Ranger, till now no regret I would say.

Does any sifu know what type of limited slip differential(LSD) used in new ranger?

is it torsen type or clutch type?
heard that torsen LSD is a better and more reliable compared to clutch type.

reason for asking is that many new ranger owners got LSD problems.

after constant nagging and complaints from rangers owner, sdac finally decided to review the maintenance costs

Changes we can see is reduction from 9L to 7L, removal of nonsense charges such as commonrail clean. smile_thumbup.gif

netsoft,

does ranger need service on for first 1k interval?

by the way, the salesgirl said come with 3yrs or 100K km warranty, is it true?

If you have time, just go to Ford SC and ask the actual technicians instead. They'll get you clearer pictures and if you could convince them, they'll tell you more than you want to know. Technicians in technical department are trained specifically in maintaining the Ranger whereas the sales people and marketing people only focus on money making.

Am looking for one too. But, I do see more and more new Ranger around and most of the time are bad ass owners. smile_tongue.gif They just want to go fast and overtaking everyone on the road. Cheers.
