i noticed some light sounds coming from the door panels. its like rubber rubbing rubber. anyone else noticed this? if you drive on uneven roads with the radio turned off can you hear any sounds in the interior. pls share. i may need to take mine back for some minor refitting work.

This is a common VW issue that the service centre will be able to rectify. It's the door seals that are giving rise to the problem.

I heard someone said if it doesn't squeak, it ain't a Veedub. Our pgtis also squeak at the door panels. Sound is most noticable when driving slowly such as moving out of the car park, going over bumps in the neighbourhood area etc. But when we hit the roads, the squeaking couldn't be heard anymore. Must the rumbling engine sound drowning the squeaking noise.

But the Polo Sedan has some serious engineering under its skin. You feel it when you push to car up to higher speeds.

wow that is very bad engineering man. no wonder the jap cars are selling well. no such issue i guess. but you know what? i dont care about the squeeks. love the car. its just that when we give someone a lift the will make comments and spoil your day.
anyway, can we apply something on the rubber seals to solve the prob instead of going back to the SC? anything available in the market? pls help. its so difficult to get an apptmt at FA wagen coz of the DSG problems cars queing up there.

You apply silicon spray to the seals to minimise/reduce the squeaks. Blame it on seals that are too tight. On some cars, the problem returns and on others, it goes away.

I tried lubricating and putting paddings but heck it is a waste of time. Just enjoy your car. Even my friends new bimmer got mickey mouse.
The polo sedan is a very underrated car. It looks tame on paper and driving slow but at high speeds, the conti chasis still shines .. stability is better than some C / D-segments non-contis.
