Focus ST in malaysia? Well IIRC there were only 1 unit brought in by official dealer then and was not sold but in the end used by the dealer themselves.

Being manual shouldn't be any major issue on gearbox and the previous ST engine is 2.5 turbo which is shared with Volvo T5 version. So maybe u can google on volvo, then maybe u can get info on the engine locally.

In terms of normal wear n tear parts, be prepared for higher prices as these are original parts from europe mostly. Not much OEM in malasysia. UK plenty.

This car is as rare as a snow leopard in the himalaya but if you see one esp the one in tangerine colour, really looks outstanding. The normal focus sports already looks nice. I fancy the ST more than the GTi but at this price, my sense leans more towards the GTi. Will wait patiently for new GTi.

GTi would be the more all rounded car...but I'm sure they sold a few...seen a black one...they won't be as popular as GTi or renault megane RS though....still pretty nice car...especially in tangerine scream

Even thought Volvo had been brought over by chineses years ago from Ford, but the latest P3 S/V 60 are still sharing the same technologies with latest Ford model included ST...but the only common sharing parts between Volvo & Ford are only engine & transmission...

I have come accross many article and reviews where they commented that FF ST is actually on par with VW Golf GTI or even better than it. It is just that Malaysian is a relunctant to change nation. We do not acvcept change easily where we will miss many good things. Yes, availability of spare parts.......but I do not think that we can get GTI spare part easily..........

VW Golf GTI is a good car but the new MKVII is too conservative.........not much changes compared to current version.

Renault megane is not as practical as FF ST and VW Golf GTI for its rear seat comfort.

Mmm...If you are looking for comfort seating........then all these 3 cars are not for you as a performance car hardcore wouldn't care about passagers comfort as well the interior space, what you want is a driver car that can perform on both legal street & track ... smile_thumbup.gif
