Hello guys, re-visiting this thread again, and back to the forum:)

I am now in the market for a steam cleaner(primarily for house now, no car)..
Bro Jackson, how is the sc1020? Is it serving you well? I can see that there are 3 models now, so trying to get some feedback before buying:

1) SC1020
2) SC3000
3) SC4100

Steamer...
- higher wattage, faster boiling time - good for continuous usage
- higher steam pressure, steam can penetrate deeper and technically should have a longer effective work time before pressure gets too low
- removable refillable tank useful for continuous use - those single tank type like SC1020, you would need to discharge all the steam/pressure and switch off the main before you can fill up the tank due to the safety valve/cap

I have the SC1020 and feels that it is only suitable for light usage. Good for disinfecting/odor removal. Pressure is ok but not that great. Boiler is a little slow especially if you are continuously steaming (pressure will drop if you press lever all the way down, so need to stop occasionally for pressure to build back up). So far it is the only budget model around... got it for RM899 from Harvey Norman (nego with the sales rep to get 1+2 years warranty... smile_big.gif ). Next model is more than 2x the SC1020 price, so up to you to decide.

Thanks for the inputs, I will continue to mull over which to purchase. btw in SG these are the prices in Courts:

SC1020 - $198 (Rm495)
SC3000 - $388 (Rm970)
SC4100 - $588 (Rm1470)

seems prices are better over the causeway.

Any idea who carries it? Tried a search and cant really locate any retail locations in msia/sg.
The Karcher 4100SC is now doing for $498 before GST. I may just go for that.

Nice, go for it. Even with tax, it will be far cheaper than MY.

Also, what I heard is those with lower pressure tend to have more water droplets released during steaming. Makes surface wetter. Those higher end steamer with higher pressure have less water droplets. Noticed this with my SC1020 which on occasion tend to have water droplets shooting out. Need to discharge steam out to rid of droplets before using. Never tried those higher end steamers before so don't know... anyone?
