i am a new stavic owner too. bought year '05 model about 3 weeks ago. after running around 4000km, the engine warning light came out. i also experienced intermittent of power lost while driving with the warning light on for a longer duration. after checking with the service center, the first and last injector are not working properly. been advised to change the injector. each cost RM1200. according to them, these is due to our poor quality of diesel. probably the previous owner did not change the fuel filter frequently. according to the stavic user manual, fuel filter need to be replaced every 25000km. but dear Unix11, you are saying the problem repeats after 4 months! that scares me.

Hi nottyking,
yeah, we can change the injectors individually, thats how I was notified at the service center. i did enquired C&C spare parts but they gave me cold remarks by saying they dont sell to other car owners other then merz. They sell by the engine chassis number so how do i buy parts from them?
I have not changed the injectors yet because the engine warning light and the intermittent power loss have disappeared. But, few days later, as i was still finding the possible cause of the problem, the power loss and engine warning light reappeared. As I was checking with the other ssangyong service center, this could be because of turbo modulator or pedal sensor. Injector problem wont make my car behave such as been told by the service center technician.
Dear Unixt, did your car behaved strangely due to the injector problem?

i manage to service the injector and it cost rm 600 each. we went to check all injector and at that time found out that 2 injector need to be replace. service both of them and walla. problem fix.
btw for the first injector kaput is due to the new injector is not being register to the ecu. each new injector change need to be register to the ecu. if not the injector will kaput very fast.
for powerloss its due to modulator. change that and it will solve the powerloss issue.
poor diesel = high maintain cost
now we all use euro 2... when will be euro 5

I changed the pedal accelerator. problem solved. so it was not due to injector.

Hi, I know this was 2009 discussion. I am very interested to know how much do these parts cost in present?
-new injector (RM 1,500 SC but JB SC currently giving 25% discount)
-diesel filter (RM 210 SC/RM 80 rextonhub Group buy - Delphi brand)
-diesel sensor?
-water seperator ? (RM 310 SC)
-modulator (RM 500 SC/RM 250 Rextobhub Group buy)
Appreciate and thank you.
Generally prices and services cost a whole lot more when you buy them or get services done at SC. Lots of suppliers are also selling the items at a lower cost and the items are original SsangYong. Go to Rextonhub forum and there are a lot of information there regarding the Stavic. Forum is not that active nowadays since most of the members are on facebook (search rextonhub).
http://forum.rextonh...plier-t450.htmlChanging an injector is not something that is normally done and should be a last resort only after all other relevant test have been done. I was quoted RM2,300 for injector replacement by SC without leak test done and it turned out to be a leaking copper washer which only cost RM10 to replace.
