Any body experience change Rondo's wheel bearing? My Rondo just clock 80K and the front (i think) bearing started giving whining sound.
Appreciated if you can share your experience / price / recommended workshop around JB...

Whining sound you heard all the time or when going thru uneven road only? Mine is the later but it can be the tyre sound.

It's all the time... and the peak sound at 110kph. When hard turn left, low speed of course, the sound even worst. It sound like something rubbing uneven

Thanks for sharing this great piece of information ~ The only challenge is, most drivers do not have this 88-mN preset-torque wrench and the 6" tool. We are quite handicapped, and hence, still need to go back to SC or any workshop (which need to have these tools) to show them these procedures and follow. Nevertheless, this is a great information and I wish more of such PDF copies on maintaining the car with our own DIY can be shared by SC such as how to completely clean throttle body, etc...

Hi all,

For front (driver side) wheel bearing, I dah replaced for my Rondo 2 weeks ago.Mileage dah 97k km during that time.
Bearing itself cost me RM100.Part is from Hyundai Sonata. Tell this to your spare part shop if they dont have a Rondo wheel bearing.Sorry, forgot to write down the bearing part number.

FYI, my mechanic told me Grand Livina wheel bearing also coming with almost the same price. So price is compareable lah with other car.

Yes, its giving a 'berdengung' sound... nguung..ngungg.. eventhough we drive in the rain.

Bearing need to be taken aout from the (housing- dont know exact name) using pressing method.

Total cost:RM 180..maybe cheaper kat tempat lain kot. Dah drive to Hatyai & Songkhka last week- so far so good.Senyaap macam baruu..

Bearing whining sound and front top absorber sound is two different problem, make sure SC solve correctly. Your whining sound happened all the time have to change asap otherwise very unpleasent driving.

@rome, the total cost sounds reasonable.
