I'm a prius c owner since 25th of may.
The FC is superb. So far the best FC per full tank is 24.8km/llitre (normal mode) which can go around 789km.
The pickup is superb also. Top speed 185km/h and got speed limiter.
Yess..agreed...the dashboard got rattle sound but still minimal.
To be frank..I just tested drive honda jazz hybrid. Still cannot beat prius c on throttle response and stop go pickup. Prius c is just superb on that.
Prius c steering is lighter than honda jazz.

Sampan handling on prius c very irritates me. So, the solution...I put the stiff ring a.k.a collar ring on the subframe at the front and axle beam at the back. The result is superb and significant. Eliminates those woobling and sampan feel. Taking a sharp corner also getting better and more confidence.

Prius c can reach 33km/litre for a journey of 40km. One of the members of Hybrid synergy driver Malaysia (facebook group) had done that. Amazing isn't it?

Servis interval is 10k km for semi-syn engine oil and fully-syn. Honda hybrid only 5k km for semi-syn.

The pick up for Prius C is superb?!?
Even Prius is too slow.............may be different expectation.

Maybe comparing the pick up with Proton Exora then is ok. When I had my exora for the first week back in 2009, it drive me crazy. When the traffic light turn to green and I start to move, car at the back will start honking. Well after so many years, I got numb to the honking.

Maybe I drive the prius or the prius C, I wouldn't feel a thing at all(all the honking). Anyway I think it should be better then the exora. I am going for a test drive soon(end of the month) and I will give my feed back here after the test drive.

Its not about the expectation...its about the tolerance with the capacity and weight. If u wanted a pure pick up...dont go for a hybrid car. But it still can beat those vtec honda city with CVT tranny. Even ford fiesta also cannot beat prius c from standstill. Tested so many times already among frens and other road users.

As for prius....u can switch to power mode. And 1 more thing. U've been cheated by CVT tranny. U will feel like no power but if ask someone to look at your car from outside...surely he will tell u woww!!! The pick up is awesome. Go and figure out yourself. Talk is cheap...do a research la before write here. Even a powerfull manual tranny cannot beat from 0-80kmh.

A 4age manual tranny with pact of horses also keep asking me what kind of modification this prius c have done?...i said nothing. I can see him far away at the back from standstill.

Nissan teana 2.5 v6 owner with nearly 200 horses also moaning about the power. Then i asked him to let me drive his car n see his car from outside. Then he understand why. It becoz of the CVT tranny.

Saga BLM 1.6 SE with CVT tranny also the owner keep on moaning. A modified nissan sentra N16 with manual tranny used to say that its hard to beat those BLM SE. It can be beaten but it takes time. So, go figure out yourself ok. Dont talk a bullshit here.

both cars are using CVT, and CVT will make one feel that it is slow.

Prius 1.8 actually has the acceleration of a 2.4 engine (that is fat torque at low rpm) with the assistance of electric motor.

cannot expect an all out acceleration and top speed from this kind of cars though, it is just stupid. environtment friendly are not designed for that. but being what it is, how the power is delivered is just astonishing (from low to midrange)

Tesla does produce a powerful electric sports car, mind you.

check out what the prius does to the world in its exhaust emission.
a prius 1.8 compare to a corolla 1.8 or civic 1.8, or any similar powered sedan for a period of one year (average driver, average mileage) will reduce CO2 emission by about 1,000kg <--- this is equivalent to weight of a car. imagine if there is 1,000 prius on the road and how much CO2 in reduction.

if you dont know what CO2 does to our world, then everyone here will know u r just a joker.

If yes, please share it with us here. Thank you.

Antarctic ice core data seems to suggest otherwise. For the past 800,000 years, it has always been temperature rise that cause CO2 rise and not the other way around. Carbon tax probably the West's con job to suck money from the poor developing countries.

I prefers to use my head than follow the crowd. After all, it is my money and not theirs.
