Just happened to browse Fords new information about its brand new launch 4X4 range.

What do you think about its RM95,888/- (Auto)? Specs, Extras, Compare with other brands, Power, anything....it is here for discussion.

I think its scores well on frugal on fuel (12.34KM/Liter), unique 3 Tone towing ability, 375Nm @ 1,500 rpm (Smooth torque up to 2,800rpm) & looks GM's GMC range...WOW!

Your Take?

Hi willie,

I'll post my comment next time when I get to drive 1. This thread will be quiet as pickup truckers are posting comments on Trucks category. Truckers just don't post on brand thread.

Hi ring,

RM95,888/- (Auto) is correct. SD Ford is at least not greedy like Toyota and MMC that sell their trucks at cut throat price. Kudos to SD Ford.

- Just because Hilux is best seller, they charge RM95k for tin kosing with weakest engine + poorest handling + low safety standard.
- Triton replaced normal turbocharger with VGT want to charge RM10k more as they are adding 1 more additional turbocharger to make it twin turbo or something.

I also looking of the 2.2 mt beast but dose Malaysia diesel are suitable to used in this tech leading engine?
I heard some euro 4 diesel engine having problem with our euro 2 diesel, the injector will easly block and trouble.
If this engine after chip tuning can reach 200ps and 500Nm torque.donno the clutch can afford this type of torque?

At last get my T6. So my Chery easter will be a 2nd car.
T6 quite even is a truck. Far more better than Cherry.
FC so far 11KM/L mixed. 2.5k millage now. 800KM around 70L. (FYI Chery 500KM for 62L)
Since it is auto, pick up is not as good as Dmax 3.0. I think worst than Hilux VNT manual.
Very comfort car. Choose between Triton VGT, but at last take the T6 due to its space and cheap roadtax.
Build quality is good, yet to try the 4 wheel. Will masuk hutan next week (heavy duty) after change my tyre.
BTW, the sound system is superb (may sound prove is very good), and the voice command is very useful which i taught it was useless b4.
Auto for 96K worth to buy. Great job, Ford Australia......

Top speed.....sorry..till now fastest i drove was 120KM/H only. Not pressing it hard since still under 10K. But got asap while you press it hard. The turbine sound very clear you can hear it....

Yes it is bumpy. Cannot fight with sedan. Parking is same even little bit wide than others pickup.

For normal job it done well. If you think to press for 200KM/H then take the Triton or Lancer..

Wow, i found that the T6 slip not really stable on rock road. Feel slip but still can control. Now reach 4K after 2 weeks.
So far no loss power issue from what found on web. Maybe depend how you drive.
Shift to 4H is stable. 4L no issue coz I stop may car b4 shift it to 4L. Normally 4L not more than 60KM/H. Or really muddy road.

The beauty need to push slowly, coz its only 2.2. Saw a 3.2 at KotaBharu (test car believed), very powerful pickup. Anyway if you got extra 14K and well to pay roadtax (west malaysia) maybe it is a good choice.

Added reverse Cam and rear Cam, not really useful. But just for an insurance only. RM720 for 2 Cam.

Air con too cool...freezing... Since 2.2 can't auto adjust.

Plan to add diesel power inside soon. If confirm improvement.

FC yes...still remain 800KM per 70L even i pushed it average 120KM/H. Normally half tank (indicator) shown 400KM. But the last quarter might not last that long. So far still get 400KM for highway.

Oh...you need to take out the antenna in most indoor car park. Too tall for the antenna and cannot adjust.
