Hi there forumers,
I'm new here and not sure if this should where my question be. If not, please do the necessary to move it to the right place.
I am currently working in the US and own an Audi Q5 for almost 2 years now. I will be planning to move back to KL and was wondering if it's worth the money to actually import the car back to Malaysia.
Been looking around checking how much it would cost me to actually import the car back (ie, import duty, excise duty, sales tax and any other fees). I do know roughly how much it costs to send the car back home but am more concerned as to how much I need to pay in taxes to actually get the car on the road in Malaysia.
Is there any formula for me to calculate? Or would someone be kind enough to tell me roughly how much the taxes would be if the price I paid for the car is USD 43k?
Thanks in advance.

it wouldn't be a wise choice...you will still be taxed and worse of all...your car will be left hand drive

yes, second what bro Chuakz said...by driving left hand drive car...imagine how would you handle the parking ticket kiosk/toll collect/paying that is on the right hand side ? if i would you i will bring back a harley davidson bike instead as i had miss that opportunity when i'm back home from state.
