There is a switch for it. Interestingly enough, to use that switch, the front fog lights need to be switched on too. Otherwise, you can activate the switch but the lights don't come on.

Sometimes it's 'nice' to drive with such a light on when you know most other cars on the road don't have one....

However in the Chery SUV, there is separate switch for front and rear lights
True, but when there is no fog, the lights are too glaring for the car in the rear....

You can turn it off separately rear and front fog light. It is very useful while heavy rain or driving at no street light place. BTW VW also same. This is Europe spec. Jap car won't have this.
At the dashboard will have two control, one for front and one for rear. Just press it, simple.

But to be fair, I have seen Mercedes Benzes, Beemers and now even Preves with their rear fogs on even on clear nights. So, I guess those who have this feature need to be aware that they are activating it.

Benz, yes .... Beemers, yes ... Preve? Honestly, not yet. Seen a couple of Peugeot 207 running with them on too .... but nothing beats the number of Eastars with its blardy rear fog lights switched on on clear, cloudless night skies!!! Just saw 2 more the other day .... feel like wanting to overtake them, switch on my own rear fog lights and flash them a couple of times.

Educate? Cannot even tell those not to use hazard lights when driving in the rain, now educate them on something new?....
