MAXIS 10Mbps for rm118 per month nett offer

I was thinking of getting rm149 UnFi package 5Mbps but now this new package from Maxis have come out! Currently I am on the rm110 streamyx package 1Mbps.
Is it a good idea as I heard some awful problems with Maxis?

Appreciate any user comments

If at RM118 for 24 months will be cheap. I am on TM RM149 for 5Mbps, but I am happy with their service so far. My wife uses it to call outstation for free. I cannot change as Maxis one is free to Maxis land lines only, moreover still have to complete 24 months contract also.

My house have unfi. So far so good. Speed is good.

Hypp tv is actually not bad. If you opt for the full channel package, could consider cancelling astro. Sumore not affected by bad weather like astro. Price is competitive against astro if you watch mainly english programs.

Yup, that is the best about Hypp TV, rain is not a problem.....Even internet also not worried about lightning strike as no longer telephone cable but fiber optic cable..... smile_thumbup.gif

Why not go for Maxis rm118 pack and replace your existing astro with Astro beyond? Quite cheap now.

To me, Unifi TV channels (TV3, NTV7, 8TV) are attractive, since my existing TV antenna dinosaur-bone is out-of-sync due to wind, rusted, several sticks broke & fell off. Even though extra RM31 with 5Mbps lesser. smile_blackeye.gif

If Maxis can throw in the TV channels for free, then I'm on it smile_approve.gif

I recently tried this Maxis 10mbps line recently. Not bad really. But when I go to some you tube sites, it still is not any faster. Many local sites were fast. But no tv or Hd channels like Hypp tv.

This is what I got using unifi speed test: No one else was using the line at the time to get best results. I ran speed test twice around 3- 3.30pm.
Maxis clocked at 7.5mbps and 8.7mbps.
Unifi clocked at 3.9 and 4.9mbps.

Yup, same as me here. TV antenna even with booster not so clear, so Unifi makes up for it. Moreover have to fulfill the 24 months contract, and at my area got no Maxis fiber woh?
Unifi extra TV programs now only have to add RM30 per month for all channels....I have not subscribe but my friend did... smile_tongue.gif
