Disappointed, RM100k without door lock indicator, means u wouldn't know whether the door is lock properly or not. Need to use cabin light as indicator, if no turn off.

Don like :
- Rear seat too low. Hard to egress.
- Even though feel solid, hard plastic is everywhere.
- RM100k+(!). <85k would be reasonable.

I think Polo sedan outclass a lot of other cars in overall road handling and cabin quietness. Our S.A (Yap) was very chinchai and encouraged us to go for it to realize how durable and tough it is on poor roads. No rattles or resonances can be heard like some Japanese cars and also the latest Preve!
Only negative for me was the body style. Trimming quality didnt bother me as the lack of any rattles and noises over potholes impressed me.

Can VGM help their Principle to achieve their ultimate goal of becoming global top volume with this kind of pricing strategy? Good luck.
Haven't seen the real car yet but it reminds me of Latio. Both are high-b segment but the Latio sedan spec is awful

But But... Latio is ugly and a 4AT
At least this VW looks nicer and has 6AT.
Between Latio and VW, I will certainly pick VW

I always prefer sedan cars.
If you compare the new Elantra. It is almost the same price.
I rather be driving a VW (although made in India) than a Korean car.
If VW is overpriced, Elantra is grossly overpriced
I expect maintenance to be more expensive.
Not so much the regular maintenance but when it comes to replacement of parts.
Batteries, absorbers, brake pads, wiper blades etc. Esp if they use "special" VW ones that canno be bought elsewhere.
I own a Honda City but I get shocked by the maintenance bill at times. Replacing some wheel bearings and absorber bush or something like that can set you back over a RM1k.
If I choose to get this car, I will have to be prepared to pay more for maintenance and servicing.

Seriously I think it will.
Peugeot+Naza do not have good market perception.
VW is still perceived to be a good car

Bro,
I actually browsed through some of the replacement parts for VW and I am quite surprise that not all the parts are more expensive than those of Japanese makes as I have owned a T, N and H prior. Cheers.

Elantra/Forte are C-segment, tis is B. Haven't seen one at PJ yet, perhaps is what VW love to project --> the rare hence "Exclusive" image.

manage to check out all the passat, jetta & polo sedan. generally speaking, all the build quality is top notch especially door closing feeling. no way a jap/korean can give you that feel. however, i have to say the polo sedan driver seat is a bit off center. maybe it is just me. driving position a bit awkward.

as for the rest, headroom is minimum for a 6 footer even for passat. guess their roofline trim down too much. but the jetta got steering pedal shift! again, for a 100K it is a premium.
