sunroof is not necessary in our country and is just "good to have" .


However after sales service is also important. So if naza service centra provides good support equal or better than japs then more advantage to them.

Wonder why many wanted the sunroof? It's almost completely useless here, no point having it. Either sun too hot or raining, opening it would give trouble. Having it when time passed, wear and tear on the seal would cause leakage, motor jam would cause roof stuck, wiring problem also another headache to repair.

Daytime running lights is dumbest idea for our weather and climate. More suitable for European and countries with winter that often foggy. They should sell optional 1.8L middle spec for lower price and more practical.

Went to test drive personally, 1.8L is great with much oomph. My result is similar to my colleagues' that went on launch day. Forte 2.0, never tried as they never had test unit. Koup 2.0 tried, superb but not interested with 2 doors, have to bend to make way to rear passengers.

the sunroof, by 4th,5th year some sure give problem, replacement cost a bomb. really no use here. forgot to close properly the rain drop straight to gearbox console and cost another bomb.. cheh

For the first I agreed with jayraptor point that it is pointless for Elantra to have sun roof, especially after all those problems with Sonata sun roof, I would rather SD fit in 4 more air bag in return for the useless sunroof & power seat.

As for DRL it's still good to have as it would make the car more visible especially during rainy day.

After having a visit to Hyundai showroom yesterday, I reconfirm Elantra really not my cuppa tea, over exaggerates design not my taste bud, I prefer Mazda 3 design.

I agree with you on this. As I've stated in past reviews, sunroofs are things that I'd like to have in my test cars, but not my own car.

Sunroof is great for people living in places where there isn't much sun and there is no air conditioning. Great for use during summer. In Malaysia, sunroof is useless.

but nowadays sunroof/pano roof comes with the car already. no choice. Example is optima k5. No option without it.
and high spec sonata.

I got a colleague driving a sunroof airtrek for 10 years. No problem what soever. Depends on luck la i guess

Agreed sun roof is useless in Malaysia.

About the sun-roof thing...you got little choice if you choose the 1.8 version.

I myself is not a supporter to this gadget bcos of :

1. Not practical to get fresh air unlike those 4 season country

2. Frequent problem once age of car exceed 5...possible roof emitting wind sound or leak due to weather strip wear & tear

3. High chance of forming rust around the edge of the moon-roof
