Highly recommended to install turbo timer! Do not depends on auto fan function. Dont ever mods anything to increase the hp/torque becoz the cvt gbox cant withstand any power increament!!!

You will void your warranty if you do. Especially risky thing to do because nobody know how reliable are these CFE engines.
I prefers to use my head than follow the crowd. After all, it is my money and not theirs.

I think my exora bold starting to have this 'one way valve' problem. I have heard 2 occurence of abnormal engine sound (softer than the klak klak sound in the youtube videos, but similar, during start of engine) that happens after 1 second I start the engine, and it lasted for half a second also.
Sien lah...happens after only 2 months into owning this exora bold.
What should I tell the proton edar service center to check for? Just tell them got klak klak sound during startup and suspect it is one-way-valve causing oil leakage from VVT ? Also, I am afraid i cannot reproduce this sound at the center because it is very rare, and never happen in the morning (in my case, only happen in the evening after park my car under hot sun, twice).
Also dunno if the Penang service center knows how to fix or not...
Proton should recall all exora bold to check and replace, not just wait for owners to complain.

It new and its getting common...a recall to inspect is a great measure rather than playing wait n see.....

I'm new kids on the block..haha
Got my E16T(Exora 1.6 Turbo) on 28/1/12. Drove to penang on the same day. Now mileage at 4k km.
1. CVT humming noise - it is characteristic but can check the noise level
2. Weird noise when starting in cold condition or after left for few hours - i checked and suspected VVT noise coz once engine started can feel the vibration at VVT.
3. If u hear buzzer noise at left hand side dasboard while turning on uneven road maybe the ABS pump.
All these things is only my opinion coz i do some investigation.
Power & fuel consumption..no issue..memang best!!!! I love my E16T but i hope proton can resolve the issues...cheers!!!

normally this happen when the engine is cooling down. what is ur engine no? is that in the risk list? Also, please dont be too sensitive in this, please monitor it for next few day...
i dont think its will recall since it is not all engine in risky list, also fixing this is not easy, have to open half top engine...
if u want the full set picture, pm ur email to me... but u have promise do not leaked to public or showing in public as per owner request. None of the bold owner willing to see CFE being disassemble like that... I was shocked when see that picture, it is really sad.
