I've used the following without any problem but don't quote me on it, My Swift is CBU type with 1.3L engine.

Left to right:

1) Suzuki original parts = very expensive!!! this filter cost me RM40/-!
Part no.: 16510-61A31

2) Toyota original parts = This one is for Advanza, cost me RM24/- Tried b4, see comment on above post.
Part no.: 90915-YZZE2

3) Perodua Service part = This one is for Perodua, cost me RM10/-! have not try this, but i'll use this next oil change.
Part no.: 15601-00R01-000

4) This is Union (3rd party) = cost about RM10/- also and I use this at the moment. bcoz it is small, I change it at 3000KM interval.
Part no.: C-930

Thanks so much, lasting999 ! Great info & photoshot, too!!

As for the Advanza oil filter, the one that you used has a different part # [...YZZE2] compared to the one that I'm using now [...YZZE1], so far no leaks....

Thanks for sharing, dude!!

O-ring and thread size ngam is still not enough. Need to make sure that the sitting area (around the threaded hole) of the filter is fully sitted onto the matching area of the engine. Otherwise there will be internal leakage and the filter serves no purpose.

I service my swift at Suzuki service centre. the oil filter cost me RM 28. Dont you think reasonable for 10 k km interval?

Peace of mind at RM28 only why not? Unless stated on the 3rd party filter that it is meant for Swift else I don't recommend to use....

at only 28buck, just let them do it with the ori filter - dont have to bother to save.

Well, after using the Toyota 90915-YZZE1 oil filter for about 3 months I discovered that.....it leaks!

So I headed to my friendly autoshop, told my problem and he showed me the "just arrived" Indonesian made 'Suzuki Genuine Parts: Suzuki Swift oil filter [Part # 16510-61J00-000]' which cost me RM25.00, it's slightly shorter that the Japanese made.

Bought one & I'll be fitting it to my ride soon....

To those driving swift sport, oil filter p/n is 16510-61A21, made in Austria. So barang mat salleh, cannot expect it to be cheap.
