Could be a supply issue, as the waiting list still seems so long...

I don't think there is stock issue really. I went to Hyundai (Sri Petaling) in dec and was told they have Tucson and Sonata model do have ready stock.

Perhaps those who have waited would rather forgo year end stocks and wait for next year. Also, some branches do have ready stocks because they have 'tactics' to secure these stocks.

One thing for sure though, is that there are so many tucsons (and sonatas) on the road now. Means the demand had been very strong.

Bro yoong,
Thanks for checking in again.
Got my ice upgraded, kenwood dual din 6036, with a genesis amp and DLS component set. Sound still not top notch, may be not well tuned. Also might add active sub as well.

I've got Philips DRL installed, making it cool n bit lansi. Others accessories yet install as dont have much time now.
May be just few simple mods as avoid over doing it. Probably HID light next, and pair of PIAA horn. Current set is really soft.

Tinting done with 3M CR 60/40. But regretted to add the security film as it cause the side mirror blur a distorted(small wave like). Will bring car back to see if they can remove n redo without security film, Foc I hope.

Will need to give up on sport rims, coz really way above my budget, and existing set rim can't trade in for much.

Cheers

Bro,
I haven't checked the forum for quite some time now... sorry....

You are on the right choice of ICE... I would say Genesis amp coupled with DLS speakers are really something, although certain models are very well-made... give it sometime to "open up", you will soon enjoy it... smile_thumbup.gif

I love to see a photo of how Philips DRL looks, if it is possible for you to post??? smile_wink.gif

I also think 18" tyre with a change of sport rims is good, but I don't have that kind of money smile_dead.gif

This thread without u really died down
Yeah, really enjoying my ICE. Infact just added an active sub to balance out my mid.
However, some of my friend further poison to do sound staging- which probably beyond me. This especially need to position the tweeter out.

Will take pic of the DRL later. Fit nicely to the slot below he grill, like OEM.

For the rim, after some evaluation, will not go to 18", the ride is already firm and good in term of handling for an SUV. Me dun wanna a too bumpy ride.

Also need to change tyre which is a bomb itself.
More important is the FC, which currently already poor. Abt rm 0.22 per km at city.

Might go for a replica 17" around rm 1800- at later stage. What's ur view on replica rim?

Ha ha... don't say like that... the thread has been rather "quiet"... but I'm hoping that any of the Tucson owners has enough enthusiasm to share with rest... Well, I'm still doing something on my beloved Tucson, every alternate week, never get tired so far...

Looking at how you are progressing with your ICE journey... I can boldly say you do have some very "dangerous" smile_wink.gif friend(s) that will lead you to the higher level... well... you have to stop at some point, either by your pocket, or your passion, or among the worst, grumbling from wife (like in my case smile_blush.gif )

Looking forward to seeing your photos of DRL soon...

I plan to scrap one of my most botak Kumho tyre, buy a new one & use the spare new one, the 2nd best condition tyre will be used as the spare... I want to change to another tyre, but heh... my SA advised me the method above is to make sure full use of spare tyre before it exceeds its shelf life span...

I have no clue about rims. But my brother who is very much into this once told me that getting the right rim can do wonders not only to look but also performance... I'm limited by my pocket to go into this smile_cry.gif

Bye now...
