Hi guys,

Yup, just registered and new here. Actually would like to ask about the Korando C Actyon here as I see you guys have been using it for sometime.

How is the servicing like? I mean minor service and major service in terms of $$$?
Was it every 5k or 10k kilometers in between?

Can I use any diesel or just certain diesel?

1st service at 1,000km. Then every 5,000km as Bolehland diesel is only euro2m for our local market. Just over 5 liters of oil. So far after about 25k, only had oil and filter and transmission oil changed at my own costs. Not much$$$$. Around RM300 if normal oil and filter changed.
Diesel a matter of personal preference. I like to use Caltex or Petronas. Still think for the price, it is a good deal but being brand new model we had some teething problems especially with the gear change, now cured. But most new models have some teething problems. Now about 1 year after the launch, most should have been ironed out.
Torque is very good and addictive.

Thanks for the response. So far I have read about the gear problem along with the rear power window. Hopefully they are both solved by now. Was thinking of getting one but no experience with diesel before. Heard there is a major service at 40k km but not sure about the price.

Any advise of what defects to check for? Or something to look out for?

Biggest problem will be gear shift jerking during the stop and go situation. Hope you have a better ride than mine. Power window problem is still there.

As for gear shift, mine is not solved and belived this is also contributing to high FC (10.8/l), my rexton270 clcok better ....

For me nothing good to say bout this car.......

Check it out yourself with a long test drive or two. Also ask about the problems raised here. Get a written estimate of servicing costs for the first 100,000 km. Then slowly make up your own mind. I bought mine prelaunch and waited 4 months for delivery. Booked based on 10 minutes test drive and the basis of good overseas reviews.
But that my style, impulsive. Even bought the 520d without a test drive at all!

Wow... 10.8L per 100 km... that's a bit high for a diesel. One of the reason I was going for diesel was the fc. Any more statistics I can compare? I believe you have remap the thing but still the gear problem presisted sad.gif

Bro, the FC is around there for town use for AWD with auto box. The 2WD model not sure. Any bro can report on this?
If buying on FC criteria alone, then not the right choice.

yeah, FC is relatively high for a diesel 2.0 engine. it could be due to the high power out put engine. if you maintain at 100-110kph, it could be quite frugal about 8liter/100km. but i can't hold my right foot there. easily 130-140kph

or maybe different injector because of our diesel......bigger hole maybe with less pressure, power same but economy suffer.

i think the other way. it is using the latest siemens piezo injector, running with higher pressure. it is all about energy equation. "More power more fuel" i think.

Apparently the test drive for Actyon went quite well today. I have tried to test drive the Kia Sportage the next door but they refuse and said they don't provide test drive for Sportage. I have been to Kia 3 times for the Sportage and all that time they refuse. I guess that really puts it off my list sad.gif. The Sportage is now CKD but the price remains the same sad.gif

Anyway Competitive Supreme is now known as Carrington Supreme after their merge with the Citroen dealer.
