Good point raised by Tokyo Drifter. But I guess we already know the answer. Perhaps I should also raise this matter to Mitsubishi in Japan.

Took delivery of a new Inspira 2.0P less than 2 months ago and due to my nown ignorance, only realised last Thu that the car boot was flooded with water. Really dissappointed. I thought that Proton has improved much over the last couple of years but I was wrong. If they cannot even do a proper job of copying from others, what else can they achieve?

Frankly speaking, I must give credit to their Proton's i.Care for their prompt reply and good customer service. Despite that, they claimed to have forwarded my case to the related departments and after one week, I'm still waiting for someone to contact me. This is the type of service that you can expect from Proton. Then, why bother to look good only on the outside (customer service)?

I have since made an appointment on my own to send my car to their Mutiara Damansara service centre this Thursday. I will provide another update after this service. If anyone of you are contemplating buying an Inspira, you may want to reconsider. It's really not worth the heartache and hassle of the never ending poor QC, and coupled with equally poor service.

Just like the Persona i had previously. My colleagues got a Persona that is o.k. but i got 1 that has many problems. That is "P". How I wish I own other cars but I am unwilling to pay such a high tax and bank interest. When you buy "p", you must bare with the uncertain quality of the car. I had a Waja which I think is good, but Persona, sorry to say "worst "P" I had. However, I am still happy with the Inspira I am having after 2 1/2 moths. I will update you all maybe few moths later or so or when convenient. Everyone expect the best, but this never always happen.

Take care and wishing all a very happy New Year. May 2012 be a better year for all.

its been going good so far baby! im loving this car. Also perhaps I am not having too sky high skyline hopes like ppl always do. its not porche end of day.

stuffs i hate: proton paint quality (U HAVE TO ADMIT THIS PROTON MANAGEMENT, U PPL SUCK! FOR BEING SO CHEAPSKATE), not great with fc (those who gets stuck in traffic alot better think twice), the tyres! i can hear screeching noise when i do controlled speed bend which I never heard with my previous compact swift.

stuffs i love: it serious has better appeal than the vios and city, long drives are awesome (also with fc), very roomy, v good nvh compared to vios and city and even civic! Its value for money still. i never had major issue till date. the last being the bush change for stabilizer bar.

note : above based on own opinion.

Cheers

Not fair to compare with a compact hatchback la, bro. For a stock car costing less than RM80k, the handling of a Swift is one of the best handling cars around.

I enjoy driving Swift. Good car and fun.
Proton has improved a lot.
Actually Nissan and Myvi paintwork not so good. Look under boot and inside when they do tinting.

allow me to digress ... i'm sure many others are able to word this better
mesian gomen shafts car owners/buyers many times over
1. inconsistent or poor quality vehicles
2. poor QC arising from the world/gomen owes me/us a living mentality/attitude
3. LIES to its citizens bout our petrol prices being the lowest - LIES because they do not dare nor wish to acknowledge the big picture where the (overall) standard of living is much better in developed countries despite higher fuel prices, generally
4. imposes high duties and taxes on so-called "local/national" vehicles
5. central bank closes one eye and turns away from unscrupulous shenanigans of its financial institution members
6. said FIs get away with charging us high interest rates on an illegal/outdated platform
7. dealers/vendors and used car dealers add on with their high prices and sometimes, scams
8. non-national makes of better quality that cost less subjected to higher taxes/duties

my friends, YOU ARE paying high tax AND interest whether you buy national OR non-national
our so-called "national" car is a sophisticated scam of the highest order
that said, many of us do not have the luxury of choice due to ever reducing purchasing power thanks to this corrupt gomen
WAKE UP

back to topic
sat in colleague's 1.8AT a number of times
likes: handling, suspension, smoothness
dislikes: low seat height (this is personal), door fabric

and yes, ETCM's/TCEAS' paintwork sucks

I have test 2.0 Inspira few months back. Really impressed with the suspension cos I didnt brake at all while go thru a bump and the suspension absorb most of it. Pick up is good but engine kinda loud which is normal for Mivec engine. Last week, I tested a chevy cruze and handling is superb. Price is only diff by 10k. My concern is the high maintenance and difficulty in getting spare parts for Cruze, but its really great car. Inspira is good looking and a safe buy.

Appreciate your advice!
