The part number is Hyundai NF Sonata... Rondo share the same chassis and is build base on NF Sonana/ Optima platform...So, it could be a cross reference part number.. You won't be wrong if you follow the MOBIS part number below & it is fitted on my Rondo.. Hyundai/KIA parts is now under MOBIS umbrella after merging.. Some old stock maybe u can still find KIA packing.. Now, all MOBIS 's standard packing

I had did the front end home work bro.. U just follow, get the parts and get it fix on your Rondo to get your problem solved..no need to survey anymore..hihihi...Hope this help..

Dear Sugen,

I've notice that the parts you bought is Hyundai parts. The picture from the link in China is Kia parts. The part no. is the same though. I've search the internet, the part number belong to Hyundai not Kia. It is for Hyundai Azera GLS.

A NazaKia agent check the Kia online spares and there is no indication that the absorber mounting has been replace with a new one.

Does this mean the mounting is from Hyundai, does it fit our Rondo, if so than we can search for Hyundai parts here. Online price for the parts is about US65.00.

Is not absorber problem.. Just the assembly bracket. Who want to take this lead to collect/gatherer all rondorian that have this problem.. Especially those 08,09 owner.. Not sure is 2010, 2011 is fitted with new redesign assembly bracket.. Need to SC to confirm this, by opening up Rondo 2011 model to check..

Hi all,

Did someone find out if 2011 & 2012 models has this problem?

Test driven last week at Sunway and like it alot. Are there any other problems I should be aware of? Hope to get some input from experienced owners here. wink.gif

Thanks ahead!

Hi sugen,
Thanks for your reassurance. Im personally quite happy from the 2 times i've viewed the car at showroom. Test driven once and really like it.
I asked the salesman on my worry about the 'assembly bracket' problem and he said he know nothing of it and its a non issue since warranty will cover. Told him owner cant keep changing the wrong parts every few years and should try to find out.
Next i called kia careline, seems that someone not to my suprise called them about this before. I take it that since the operator said she will get back to me, there might be more info on it especially if it affect later rondo. Will update later.

Also, how are spare parts like suspensions and timing belt etc cost compare to exora?
Any tips from owners here?

Thanks ahead!

blisskid,

Rondo uses timing chain and most probably no current ownerwould ever hit 180K km mileage yet so chances to get info on replacing new timing chain is low. But you can get the cost for each services from Naza SC, hopefully they are glad to share with you the major and minor service cost.

I change my rear absorber RM 350 per peice. Front absorber should be around that as well.

So for new Rondo I would suggest new owner to claim for the following itmes before waranty expired:

1. Aircond compressor bearing
2. Rear absorber
3. Steering rack
4. ..

Thanks for your input Setisfai!

The $ you paid for those parts doesn't sound too bad...
