Recently I refueled my Hilux 2.5 D4D Auto with Caltex Bio TechronD (B5). Not sure if I can use it on my Hilux but I decided to proceed anyway coz I've only used Caltex TechronD since day one of owning this vehicle.

Not sure if its the fuel or it is my car but the engine semi stalls frequently at certain low revs about 250km later. Any sifus here can assist me to troubleshoot my situation smile_blush.gif

Humbly appreciate all feedbacks to my query above smile_thumbup.gif

Switch back to normal diesel and see if it is okay? If yes, then is the fuel...... smile_tongue.gif

Currently runnin on my 3rd tank of B5 frm Caltex. Firstly noted better pickup & occasionally get sweet smelling fumes i/o d usual sulfur smell
Understand tat Torque is expected to be lower wit B5 as compared to regular diesel but noticed d result is reverse. Perhaps i was using regular petronas diesel b4 d switch & my preference is always Caltex first & Petronas 2nd
However noticed tat FC still maintains d same, engine is quieter & lesser diesel fumes (during sudden burst of acceleration). Hope tis little info helps

Smother engine operation in time is the characteristic of diesel engine. However good to know bio5 has not caused and problems.Tks bro.
