10% increase in term of HP, quite reasonable. The EFR suitable for any car?

You installed "Simota steel mesh filter + Irridium sparks + Mythelogy Light-weight Crank Pulley + Decat (partial) + EFR" in single installation or separately?

Do you send for Dyno test on every installation or only after EFR? I am not shooting you but interest in the EPR smile_tongue.gif I browse through the Net and read some of the information about it.

Stock 1.6 4-speed forte dyno result is around 115hp/135Nm at crank
With Filter + LCP + Plugs + Partial Decat it improves to 124hp / 148Nm

Now i need to gently tap on the accelerator in city drive and getting very good FC...i'm using lightweight 6.5kg rims 16" too
I am doing plug-and-play mods coz the car has 5yrs warranty....except for partial decat smile_tongue.gif

That is what the sinka jayraptor wants. This is only the beginning (he hopes by praising the Forte here and there will get him a free upgrade smile_tongue.gif ). He bought his EX with the 4AT. But now there is the 6AT for Forte. It's the same case with his previous Sentra which was without ABS. When he found most cars have ABS, he began to whack Nissan because Nissan didn't entertain his request. smile_big.gif

Miki Mao seems to like Forte forum already.

Well, the Forte's 4AT won't cause disaster unlike N16 [Sentara 1.6SG no ABS]. Besides, the 4AT gearbox in Forte is proven reliable and durable gearbox that was used in Sonata NF and few MMC models that would last more than 10 years without problem.

Since this thread is about upgrade plan for Forte, the best is to buy the 6-speed new gearbox that would last 300,000km maintenance free. I could get acceleration 0-100km/h in 11.5s without having to tune up the engine and use more fuel. 11.5s for stock no assist C-segment 1.6L is very good that is as fast as some 1.8L cars.

Price of single conventional gearbox would be high if only me alone go to order 1. If several Forte 4AT owners could regroup and order in bulk, the price could be easily brought down to just few thousands with trade in gearbox.

I started to whack the N16 because of dumb local marketing staffs like you opted to drop the ABS rather than airbag in the Sentra 1.6SG. Strong brake grip in N16 without ABS would easily end up in wheel lock. Why didn't you remove the ABS in Sylphy, then you will feel the scare. There are several N16 owners that sent their rides to N brand SC, they crashed because of no ABS happened within permitted safety speed limit including at 60km/h.

Hi Darrel,

I have just sent you PM, not sure whether you receive. I have not used PM before, not really sure how to use it.

Hi bro jayraptor,

you mean the 6-speed gearbox no need to do any flushing or ATF replacement for 300,000km? Did Kia or naza give any warranty/guaranty on these?

Hi byebye2u,

The 6-speed gearbox clocking 300,000km without maintenance was the extensive test performed by Hyundai-Kia when they tested the gearbox prototype for its reliability and durability. It was just part of their test to prove reliability and durability when developing that gearbox.

In reality, it is still compulsory to change ATF fluid at certain intervals to make sure the gearbox healthy.
