The Forte 2.0L didn't get to sell in large volume due to no test unit. Same goes to Sportage and maybe even the new Optima. Forte 1.6L could sell well because test have test unit for everyone to try. If NAZA prepared test unit for each and every model, you can throw the Sylphy into abandoned yard like Latio and old Bluebird Altima 1992.

Please wait for the new Avante 1.8L, when it is launched, SIME will sure do better. Tucson and Santa Fe outsold the better looking higher quality Sportage and Sorento because they have test unit available.

Why don't you think this way >> If N brand didn't prepare Sylphy test unit at all showroom, do you think the Sylphy can sell? Answer is none. Want to check which car has demand, put them all in 1 exhibition (WITHOUT PRETTY MODELS standing around) with wide gap from each other. The Sylphy will be lying there quiet compared to other makes. Already saw too many times. You'll find more crowd in Lancer, Forte, Mazda 3, Cruze, Civic, etc but not Sylphy. Even Altis draw some attention. This clearly tells, those who could not afford 1st hand, they too would not go for used Sylphy.

Next time you wanted to compare resale value, take the 3 year old proper Korean made car to compare with your 3 year old Sylphy to check depreciation rate. Just don't faint or get heart attack at that time. Oldest Forte here is just 1 year old, not even reaching 3.

>>My colleague's 08 Sylphy bought RM116k sold RM70k in 2011.
>>My another colleague's Altis E '08 bought RM112k, if he sold it in 2011, he could still fetch between RM85k-90k.

Dear forummers,

Just go to the used car yard and do a quick check and see with your own eyes on how much the Korean cars depreciated!!!! If too lazy, a check from Motor Traders or in this forum will do. The facts are out there. Sinka len, you can only say that much in the forum but the FACTS are out therelah.... smile_big.gif No doubt the Korean cars have improved, but to pit against T,H & N; I will say they are not there yet. If you look at the monthly sales of the Vios (high specs) & City against the Forte 1.6, that story would have already tell you on what the market aspires. Just because you own a Forte, that doesn't mean it is not without its flaws.

Sinka jayraptor, a tip for you: If you want to sell your car, first of all you must learn to speak the TRUTH!!!! You really think people are as stupid as you think? You thought with that few words of yours can change the whole perception of Korean cars and market realities? I never expect your mind to be so shallow. However, I have to admire your enthusiasm and the "thick skin" you have built. smile_thumbup.gif

Miki Mao trying to use the outdated trick again, taking the older non-perfected Korean car to compare. Wanted to talk about resale value, check this facts:

Cefiro '03 RM50k vs Camry 03 RM75k vs Accord 03 iVTEC RM80k (2.0L)
Sentra '03 RM40k vs Altis '03 RM60k vs Civic '03 RM55k (1.8L)
Sylphy '08 RM70k vs Altis '08 RM85k vs Civic '08 RM90k (1.8L)

Spot the wide gap between your N brand and the 2 other Jap makes? N brand resale value so bad, falling behind so far. You want more example, I can put more if I have enough time.

Why not you compare with proper Korean car. Take the Forte 1.6EX/SX 2010/2011 to compare with Latio 2010/2011 after 2-3 years later in 2014. Then you will know. Or you may take the poor resale value Sylphy 2010/2011 to compare with Forte 2.0SX 2010/2011 3 years from now, check whether Sylphy can fetch better value than same age Forte 2.0SX at that time. Bring it on!! The Sylphy might get the same fate as Bluebird 1992.

Miki Mao,

Company didn't send you and the rest of your N brand marketing staffs colleagues go test drive the Forte 2.0SX, Sportage and Sorento at the Curve meh? Feedback from those who tested especially never tried Korean made before were so impressed with its build quality and engines. The people voted the Forte 2.0SX is better than most of its more expensive Japanese makes especially the non-worthy narrow B-segment limo Sylphy.

Why not Sylphy challenge the Forte 2.0SX in FC lightfoot contest, comfort, NVH, performance and handling? It is cheaper leh, not above RM120k, can't give excuse like different category when comes to Civic 2.0L, Altis 2.0 and Mazda 3 2.0L. Don't feel rugi meh, you pay RM116k for Sylphy that lost to Forte 2.0SX in everything?

Sorry, don't feel rugi woh!!! smile_big.gif Because driving a Nissan or Honda is always ahead of the curve than having to be associated to a Naza. Just because you can't afford a Japanese made doesn't mean the Korean u own is perfect. Typical of a case like the fox who blames the grape as sour when it couldn't reach the grapes. smile_big.gif To add salt to your wound, I have seen so many Forte having the Naza logo removed and got it replaced with Kia or some funny symbols. That is one great evidence to show that many people are ashamed to own a Naza. Aiseh....... laugh.gif Some forummers here are even selling the Kia logo at RM70 only 059.gif This is really astonishing smile_tongue.gif

But one thing for sure, I really respect your thick face for concocting stories that many people are so impressed.......... Let me tell u again..... SELF PRAISE IS NO PRAISE smile_big.gif

Sin ka len is telling grandmother stories again. Everybody knows that Toyota & Honda models fetch better used vehicle value than Nissan smile_approve.gif . But to match it against a Korean model like a Kia (or should I say a Naza), then I shall see their fate. But my friend's recent trade in for his Forte for the Mazda 3 is a good example. I don't think we can even see a used Forte in the yard because everybody will keep it until it rots (unless u have lots of money to lose). The truth is cruel but don't live in self-denial. You really think you can hide the truth in the forum???? Potential customers will definitely do their check at the used car yard (if they're really interested on how much their used Naza will fetch) smile_big.gif

After-all buying a car is to enjoy it and why bother so much with the used value. But just imagine, if the owners themselves are too embarassed to wear a Naza badge on their car, then how do you think the market will react????? smile_tongue.gif

Honestly, I will respect all the Forte's owners pride. The Forte is actually a decent vehicle. But falsifying facts to degrade other makes for personal business interest is not something very honourable. Naza management, if u see this, pls teach your sales staff to preserve the little dignity he has because he's not only embrassing himself but also to the company.

Miki Mao losing mind. Here's the facts:

Kia Forte being sold as NAZA Forte here mainly to enjoy the additional tax exemption. People changed the external logo back to Kia is normal. Do you have problem at that? KIA logo selling at RM70 and many buying, that is good. The brand logo itself proven that it has more value than Neesan or Nismo logo that could hardly sell that your company is giving free as compliment in buying Sentara.

Miki Mao,

Yes, Toyota and Honda models fetch better value than Neesan but the gap difference is so wide at 20-30% difference. Is that not enough to prove your Neesan poor resale value? Look at 2003 Camry vs 2003 Cefiro, I can easily get the used Cefiro at sub RM50k budget price but not the Camry that is still above RM70k. Same goes, I can easily get used N16 Sentara at bargain price but not used Altis.

About your friend's case (if it's true) who got conned by used car dealer, why don't you check how much is that used car dealer selling his Forte now and how soon can it be sold. That used car dealer would be selling his Forte at RM75k and if it could fetch around RM70k and sell off in short time, that is considered good.

The right way to determine resale value is to take how much the new owner pay to buy the car. Not the middleman used car dealer that cheated the 1st owner who traded in. Check with Popcorn, he used to be used car dealer, if he is willing to tell you, you'll know the trick in cheating seller and buyer.

My 2 colleagues' Sylphy '08 were sold at heavy loss in depreciation in selling to actual BUYER (new car owner). They bought at RM116k.
1) 1st colleague sold his in late 2009, 1 year+ already lost more than RM20k, selling at RM87k.
2) 2nd colleague, sold in 2010 or 2011, which year I told you already? Sold at RM70k.

>> Check newspapers, motortrader, mudah, etc. So many Sylphy that are still new even not even 1 year already being posted for sale. You can see Sylphy sitting at used car dealers for so long before it is sold. Other cars around the Sylphy already come and go.

----------------------------------------------

If NAZA marketing staffs reading this, please prepare test unit for Forte 2.0SX, Sportage 2.0, Sorento 2.4 and coming soon, the Optima 2.0 & 2.4 and Rio. Though it will sacrifice some of your customers' waiting time but the end result, you'll get more people know how good these rides are. AWARENESS number 1.

Then I can proper review and get Miki Mao to tryout and prove for himself in his heart, not his mouth and fingers though since he's working with N brand. Feel bad for Miki Mao and his gang members that have controlled freedom of expression in public.

You must be out of your mind! Who is controlling your freedom of speech? You can talk anything you like. But what matters is how many people will want to believe you. smile_tongue.gif We are just correcting your fictional stories. I think I have enough nonsense about used cars from you. Don't worry about this. Those who are looking forward to buy vehicles will definitely check their values at the used car yard to verify your claims (so, don't waste your time concocting stories) smile_tongue.gif
