Yes, I've to admit that Proton SAGA common problem is rusty doors & power windows. Well, it does not prevent the car from running anyway.

Power window problem ?: I changed power windows to manual units from breaker yard & it cost me about RM30.00. It will last forever.

"unreliable" 's definition should cover all parts and components or just only engine? The power window problem is so common that it sticks out like a sore thumb. BTW, I just heard what PROTON stands for, viz ...

I change my mindset towards Juara after one company in JB bought a whole lot of Juara and spray them bright red & white combination paint for their company delivery vans.

Dem nice! smile_thumbup.gif If got chance I shoot photo & post here.

Despite my ex-wajunk's power windows spoilt for numerous time, 4-5 times at least within 7 years of ownership, I'm still think it's a reliable car and cheap to run. With it's price tag & handling performance, I'm still think it's better than my current RX300. smile_sleepy.gif

Proton is good & cheap to run vehicle, if comfort is not your top priority. smile_thumbup.gif

About wajunk power window problem issues, someone mentioned to changed the whole bracket to metal (ori is plastic made and prone to failure), APM brand to solve the problem.

Frankly, not only Proton have power window issue (even new/recond BMW power window can fail numerous times), there are quite numbers of Myvi and Viva (mostly higher spec version) have this similar issue.

So now all installed with quality parts - so Malaysians buy, drive Malaysia made proton cars can now have a peace of mind of power window failure. BUT the procurement staffs have to suffer lor, no under table M$ from Vendors! hahaha

That is only for the power windows. Maybe same old model but vendor gives some percentage for claims? smile_tongue.gif
