newbie on detailing.

what is RB, ROB, DA stands for ?

So far i wash my car using 2 bucket system. top down, microfibre. No petrol station wash or etc.
Now thinking to do own waxing. Previously i just use manual way fibre cloth and wax on and off.

was looking for something simple and cheap buffing machine to do it. Any recommendation ?

RB = Rotary/circular buffer/polisher
ROB = Random orbital buffer
DA = Dual action

Search through AW detailing threads, plenty of info.

Why do you want to wax using machine? Normally wax by hand as it is safer. Waxing by machine needs skills and also product dependent. Do you really need heat/"work-in" the wax? People usually use a machine for correction rather than applying the last step product - wax/sealant/etc. Can come to the TT session tomorrow to get more of your questions answered... smile_big.gif

It is possible to wax using ROB and DA, and they tend to make wax application more even and faster.
I did try waxing with a RB and 4" pads, it works well and still gives a nice even application smile.gif

Waxing by machine has its advantages.
I find that I use less product when I'm waxing with the DA compare to waxing by hand.

Also, it is easier to put on a thin even layer with DA.
Steady but not slow

Learn from the beginning doing surface prep, from claying and polishing. Will give you better results than just waxing.... smile_tongue.gif
