Saw it on trailer on NKVE last sunday smile_thumbup.gif

If is not a KIA, could be best seller mid SUV.

i don't think KIA branding are as bad as years back..with it globalized branding strategy with european design input and as well as the technology updated & collebration with establish manufaturer in sharing the R&D. it had been fruitful elevated their brand images and position in to a place of the world top's automobile manufaturer....so whether the new sportage will be the best selling mid SUV or not..we just have to wait and see..

prcied at RM138888..i still think that it is on a steep side..consider that kia local branding is not that strong altot globally is ok..if RM128888 den it is def worth the money to paid for..
dun forget EU 3008 is only 145k smile_approve.gif

Yup considering the after sales and RV are still suspect in malaysia, RM138k won;t be easy to sell.

i read that sportage launch today, not sure of the price. i am still wondering what make sportage / tucson so unique if the price differntial with cr-v is less than 10k for a 2.0, does korean car command a higher technology and quality compare with japanese model? or solely because there are some gadget and interior that make it more attractive?

by reading the tucson thread, seem like there are quite a number of people that held great interest towards korean car, but i still have the impression that honda cr-v the brand sound very prestigious.

koreac car fan, can enlighten me a little?

If its other country the prestige is there. Just not that well known in Malaysia due to the franchise holders. Actually H&T don't have much prestige outside of Asia. Only us frogs in the well think they are made from gold and pay for it too. Haha!

Hi, sportage price is RM138,888 in high spec. And CRV price in RM150k in low spec. , why other brand can have a low price in H.spec and CRV have s low spec in high spec. It's over value about RM10K-RM15k compare what you get in low spec. It's value for $$$ paid so much and get nothing. If me I will prefer sportage.

If you have pay more for so call prestigious branding but get lower spec trimming & features then is that so call prestigious are justify your hard earn $$$ spend ? i will rather go fo $$$ worth branding that offer with full spec of trimming & features that's from up coming korean brands or even our local brands....as at the end, all cars sold after come out from showroom will lose their value, and dont tell me the prestigious brands will hold the value same ? so why not enjoy the car that can give you more & higher spec's with the affordable price tag...

Btw i dont catagory Honda CRV as the prestigious brand as all, period.

Ai ya u dont know meh, our ckd TNH here are always overpriced n under spec. just compare its prices with the cbu hyundai/kia u will know. but people still silly to think TNH is more prestige than koreans..maybe last time but not now anymore, many people are still living in the well or up the trees. to me, locally ckd just squeezing us too much with low spec.

But one thing that H & T do not do is giving big discount. Thus this will protect their RV.

KIA previously was dumping prices which ultimately affected their RV.
