I'm going a little OCD here......but if you're looking for THE BEST beading out of any wax/sealant, it's going to be those applied on a 'fresh' surface - surface right after polishing or after using a paint cleaner. Topping up with something *might* product better beading but you won't get THE BEST out of it. If you are looking for good water beads (or sheets), I suggest you start afresh instead of topping up later.......

thanks bro.. assuming the existing sealant has been cleaned and the surface has been well prepped, will the use of sealant (and let it cure for a few hours) and apply wax on top of it considered start afresh?
or just forego the idea of applying wax on top of a sealant?

My findings are when 'fresh', as in nothing underneath including any polishing oils, protections, etc., beadings from my Supernatural are SPECTACULAR. And I just couldn't get the same when topping up or putting it on top of a sealant.

I don't think there's anything wrong with applying wax on top of a sealant, and I also do that all the time (wax on top of sealant and even sealant on top of a wax). Sometime I got what I'm looking for and sometime I don't. But, as I said, it's just me being OCD and talking about extremities here. The difference is not really that extensive but, in my eyes, I can see that difference. So, when I'm in the mood and have the time and looking for 'that look', I'd rather go over the car with at least a paint cleaner and a fresh coat of wax.

That can be considered fresh, but left for a few hours, still better to QD the surface before wax layer, because of the settled dust on the panel..... smile_tongue.gif

HI Pal,

The paint cleaner izit the same as wax and grease remover like P6000 used by car painter? Will it spoil the paint if I :

-Wash the car and wipe it dry.
-Clean with Wax and Grease Remover aka P6000
-Wax it.

Thanks

Cheers
