All this while I thought snow is some traction control gadget like those ESP or something...

My wife's Chery have it. Saw on Bestari (Pug) 206 also. Almost same as Sports mode in some. Actually delay the gear shifting so that it is in low gear which is good for slippery surface..... 

In some cases, it also starts the car off from standstill at 2nd gear to minimize wheel spin.

Compare Sports and normal mode on snow......
