Remapping helps in reducing turbo-lag. My ride is rather heavy because of the sound-proofing/autofoam and hi-fi/amplifiers etc. But I have people commenting that my ride feels solid and fast during long-distance journey (KL-Penang), esp first-timers sitting on a Korean suv. The last time I got to 170kmh was when my wife reminded me to slow down because I was speeding (but I was not aware I was speeding).
I have been using Yokohama tires for the last 4 years but I think they aren't made for very high-speed. Good for cornering but not high-speed.
the guy that do your remap still around?? there are more than 50 types of software/hardware/parameter in rexton ECU that can be tweak. yes, turbo lag is the most concern, so I set mine to shut wastegate on low rpm, increase turbo to 2.2 bar, advance timing, faster throttle response ( but I set at 25% faster only, scared my wife would ram the car in front during jam) , increase diesel pressure and volume at low rpm, tighten the gearbox grip up to 29%...etc. I'm using open pot k&n , so the air gushing sound very loud..hihihi, stainless steel turbo piping, removal of exhaust catalist . absorber only OEM but with rubber damper and bendix brake pad for better stopping .
hey guys, our bro here remap 6 years oledi and still okay
