who else can we say is toyota expert in malaysia, other than UMW? they have support from Toyota Motor Corp, the actual car manufacturer. they all have the technical expertise, proper diagnostics equipment and highly trained technicians for troubleshooting.

for Subang, visit Toyota Subang Jaya near to Subang Parade, while at Shah Alam there is UMW Toyotsu, a JV between UMW and TMC itself.

bear in mind, both outlets are attending to high no. of customers.. something like between 100-130 cars per day, so need to lower your expectations. no King treatment - just straight forward business practises.

the kind of kerk kerk kerk sound when in D mode, sound like driving a lorry. i suspect is the knocking sound fr the air filter box with the body, beside that the power window, the ignition key, the light from the dash board and the center console part...... haizzz! tones of problem smile_disapprove.gif

some members fr TVCM also mention about this problem, i guess is quit common for vios. wacko.gif

you are looking for experts and experts dont come cheap my friend.

as I mentioned in my post above, the Toyota outlets are attending many customers (around 100-130 cars) per each day. They are not selling burgers like Mcdonald. No workshop can provide high efficiency at that rate. Not any workshop at Sunway or Glenmarie can give good service to 100 customers in one day.

Even Lexus ooppss, even Merc and BMW will struggle to provide efficient and friendly service if they face 100 or more customer each days, that said average 12 cars per hour.

at 12 cars per hour, a workshop need to have 6 clerks (or service advisors) and 12 mechanics or more, at least 10 hoist/ramps, big spare part store (if they order, it will be late) and a waiting room that must be big and comofrtable (unless 12 customers like to stand in workshop area and nothing to do other than wait and watch those mechanics)

Service Centres like Toyota and many others (Honda, Nissan) provide air-conditioned waiting room, with comfortable seats/sofas, and free light drinks/snacks, free internet/wi-fi and TV, magazines and newspapers and those are not cheap to provide.
The technicians and technical expertise are also not cheap to provide.
To provide nationwide service centres are never cheap. How many workshops have more than 2 outlets? How many with 10?? Toyota have something like 50 branches and the running cost is not cheap. But its all about convenience and peace-of-mind.

If u r looking for King treatment at layman price, i do not know anywhere else. I am sorry.

but hey, it is up to you. no one is forcing you to go to Toyota nor no one is stopping you from visiting independent workshops like Ah Chong or ABC specialist. or XYZ.

cheers!!
