So how's the Grandis sold by Mitsubishi Malaysia performing? I understand this model was introduced in 2004 (so long ago) so when will be the replacement model be due? Thanks.
The current Grandis sold by MMC MY was launched in mid-2007.
This is quite a different version from the one from 2004.
Specs and front grille.

Between the 2nd row and 3rd row seat. Can you "walk through" between these 2 rows just like the Estima?
No...
Grandis doesn't use "captain seat" for the passenger row.
Therefore, no walk through.
In actual fact, the Grandis is a bigger MPV vs Estima.
However, the inner room seems smaller.
1) Due to lower roof.
2) Both side door panel took up 1ft+1ft = 2 feet space. It's definitely thicker than Estima.
3) Estima uses a sliding door.
I've been driving the Grandis since 2007.
Absolutely love it !!

Not many messages being posted showing excitement to book new Grandis. With more or less the same budget, if not Grandis, what other MPVs are being considered? Why is this the preference over Grandis?

Hi everyone.
I'm also having a Grandis. The current specs. It's quite a nice car to drive. The car is very stable at speeds actually. Good luggage space.

Pug 5008 is still another option
I think Pug5008 is different class. Pug 5008 is compact MPV, I test drive both of them, comfort&handling definitely 5008 superb with all canggih2 gadget. Even I oready swiped RM3k to book. But I change to Grandis, coz, in term of size, I dun hv to fold the 3rd sit for luggage. hadling&comfort gud enough 4 me. Family car anyway. Currently I'm driving CRV 97. Pricing is the same. Only, Grandis engine still using timing belt...next 4 yrs, need to spend RM3k for this..suck. But, I think I'll luv this car. Hope to get it soon.

How come nobody mentioned the Nissan Serena. Cheap. Walk through from 2nd row to 3rd row like the Estima. But I have never seen it personally myself.
As for the Grandis, the interior space is very tight despite the big exterior.
I prefers to use my head than follow the crowd. After all, it is my money and not theirs.

I did considered Serena initially before I come to know that our Serena is actually older model, I wonder when will TC bring in the new Serena which makes me worry 1.) that they could launch a new Serena right after I purchase one or 2.) they can't place the price competitive enough to match with the spec. in Malaysia.
Anyway I always thought Serena is a decent non pretentious MPV.

Do you find the Grandis interior more cramped than the Serena? For such a large car, I am disappointed by the lack of space inside the Grandis
