Very interesting how they plan to implement high pressure fuel injection.
I wonder what difference this will make when compared to turbo/super charging? Will they be using electric pumps for this? Or is it a mechanical or pneumatic system? Hmmmm, interesting!

In the days of the 1½ litre turbocharger, BMW's four cylinder engine could produce over 1,000 hp in qualifying, but it can last about 5 laps max!

I think it will be really hard to drive with an engine like that 1.6L making 800-1000hp. Imagine the turbo lag on the bugger!. It might be better with todays technology but not that much better. Many drivers in the F1 turbo era said it was really peaky the power band and difficult to drive.
Yah I'm not surprised. Its like nothing, nothing, nothing then suddenly the boost come like crazy and all hell breaks lose. Maybe traction control will be back. haha.
