Thanks for the write-up. Is there one for the 1.8 cvt ? Can the gear be shifted via the gear stick ? A thousand apologies if I missed the report.

Buy car, better buy CBU. CKD has lower quality due to attitude of malaysia workers with attitude "tidak apa".
Car manufacturers could have good parts including engine but once assembled in malaysia, all sort of problems detected, especially the weird sound from here and there.
Good engine does not mean that the car is good as we need many connection from part A to part B. How about is not the spare part that has problem but the way we fix it?
I drove a proton before and many of my friends too.........................A good car like lancer suddenly................Feel pity to all mitsubishi lancer owners! All inspira around them!

Hmm... The Accord and Inspira are not directly comparable, but I will say that the Accord is impressively agile, more so when you consider its size. Amongst D-segment competitors that I've sampled, the Accord still trumps in terms of handling against all except the Ford Mondeo, which is in a class of its own... but unfortunately let down by a poor powertrain. The surprising thing about the Accord is that I find the 2.0 actually more satisfying to drive than the 2.4.
The Accord is also impressively noisy at higher speed compared to the Camry.
But I had only driven the 2.0 not sure about the 2.4.

Accord or Camry 2.4L both more or less same oni. NVH not really that good. Still noisy.

We have yet to review the 1.8 CVT, but I've just contacted Proton to arrange for a test car sometime next month. Stay tuned.

Yeah... NVH is not the forte of Honda's cars, I've noticed.

Proton today announced the impending launch of the much anticipated replacement model for the Waja, based on the Mitsubishi Lancer.
Named the Inspira, the new car will be offered with three drivetrain options - 1.8 M/T, 1.8 CVT, and 2.0 CVT.
Prices range, tentatively, from RM79,888 to no more than RM95,000.
Cars are not yet available for viewing or test drive, but order taking has begun. Watch out for our story later today.
does any of the models come with HID lamp? becuz i saw one car, not sure which model,
the head lamps damn bright le..... confirm is HID lamp.....
pls advice....
