Hi there,

Finally got my new toy yesterday and covered 100km so far and I still have my smilling face~~ smile_cool.gif

My friends who came to test the new toy were amazed by the NVH and handling of this 'stock-clearance NF 2.4'. Pumped in full tank and now still have 3/4 tank left even travelled 100% city-drive. The L/100KM is still not accurate though, still showing 18L/100KM, I am not sure if this is normal, can any sifus here care to enlighten me a bit? smile_wink.gif

Congrats and enjoy your new ride.
No idea about the fuel consumption meter, perhaps you can try resetting it when you next pump full tank and compare your manual calculation with the digital meter. Note tho, when car is new, fuel consumption will be higher. Drive it for 3-5k and everything will be season by then.

Drive safe and happy new year!

Hi there,

Happy New Year!!!

After spending a week with the ride, the mileage already clocked 2,000KM smile_blush.gif Travelled a lot for work.

Already done my 1st 1000km-service which costed RM144.40 using Petronas Semi-syn lub.

And the fuel consumption reading is now recording at 8.9L/100KM; which is the best I achieved so far as travelled 90% on highway. Somehow I realised that even travelled 100% within city area I still managed to achieve range between 9.1L/100KM & 9.3L/100KM; which to me is AMAZING fuel consumption for a 2.4 liter car~ Cheers!!

happy new year ccc628. good to hear u r enjoying your ride. i finished the first tank of petrol on my sonata, and manually, the computation is 9.14L/100KM. the computer also read about the same. combination of city & hwy driving.

still cant beat my honda city i-dsi; about 6.3L/100KM combination of city & hwy driving. smile_big.gif

Hi,

Good morning to all sifus~~

So far I am still enjoying my ride very much~ it's clocking 3200km within 14 days. Yesterday when I washed my car, I found out that the engine coolant has reduced to a very low level, could it be the long-distance travel that caused the engine heated to a level that vaporised the coolant? Or it's due to other reasons?

Please enlighten me and I will also go to SC to check it out~

Not sure what is the setup of the NF Sonata, but you are viewing the coolant level from an extended tank or the radiator or ? And do you know the level when you first collected the car? Trying checking it again in the morning. See if the level is the same. If not, top it up and monitor.

Hi fellow NF owners,

I just got me an used one, year 2007 2.4 model, no leather seats which was a little disappointing apart from a small chip/dent caused by a small stone/pebble on the front passenger door, and it's black. Also, the car only had 3-year warranty (donno why) so, no more warranty but I am confident the engine and gearbox will not break down anytime soon. In fact, in US they offered this car with 10-year warranty, so I believe the Koreans have caught up with the rest as far as the engine and transmission are concerned. Mileage <35k real one i suppose because it was used by the seller's wife mainly during weekends. Looks like I will have a nice ride to balik kampung (Batu Pahat), driving from KL on the CNY eve early morning. Car drives great - engine quiet and powerful, gearbox smooth, aircon nice and cold.

No leather seats? I guess you got a CBU unit sold by Sime Darby, not the CKD unit from Kah Bintang. AFAIK, all CKD from Kah Bintang come with leather seat; CBU units has higher/more safety features than CKD unit. How many airbags does your car has? 2 or 6?
