In BM yes, there is a shop just opened less than 2 months with PPS coating.

In BM and not Island? In Auto City, ah?

I have done the PPS on my new car around 15 months ago. Although it claims to last several years, I wonder is it still effective now as the surface now is not smooth anymore/doesn't dispel water like wax and dirt can stick easily..really feel like waxing my car but apparently you cant wax a PPS-ed car

Anyone has done any post PPS maintenance? How much does it cost and what kind of services are actually done? There is not re application of the PPS product right? perhaps just some clay wash, etc..

The distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion...........

I send back about 6-8 months whenever I have the time.

After sending it back, the beading came back but only last a month. But the car still has the wet look, especially it is black.

If you have the cookware using Teflon, you'll notice that some thing still stick to it and some scrubbing will also remove some Teflon coating. So it won't last forever.

Here is some of my comments in the PUG forum, I just cut and paste:

I have done PPS and it lasted me for 5 years before I sold my car and yes, the 6 month maintenance brings back the water beading effect and 're-shine'.

I have done the Sierra glow with another car but just for 1 year before I sold it (again!).

My comments are heavier on the PPS, since it was with me for 5 long years (tested and proven). It NEVER EVER had tar stuck on my car after that! I had comments from friends saying weather I did a respray on my car. That was a very good compliment for a car which is close to 7 years old with original paint.

My wife's ride also got people comment on it having been resprayed, but maintained by DIY only.... smile_big.gif
Anyhow, whatever it is, PPS, Sierra Glow, etc. maintenance is needed to maintain the final look...... smile_wink.gif
