Almost all of those not so expensive 2din Audio/GPS are manufactured in China. Flyaudio is no different, they used to source their products from Caska. If you are into SQ, then you might be disappointed, but if you are not fussy with SQ and can bear with the (sometimes) low quality GUI, then it is a good buy.

Some of the leading China manufacturers are:
http://www.coagent.cn/products.php OR http://www.caska.com/products-/
http://www.witson.com/en/products.html

Not sure about now, but they used to ship MOQ of 5pcs and payment terms = Payment before shipping.

For the Sonata NF, a standard 2 Din will fit right? No special panels need to be removed?

Hi Fred,

I travel from Jb to Penang quite frequently as well, perhaps next time we can have a small TT smile_blush.gif I think people like us tend to collect more info prior to making a decision~ and I think we have made a good one~ when would you be collecting you car?

Good idea ccc628. Message me for your schedule smile_wink.gif. Who knows we might be able to get more NF owner from Penang to join the TT.

Hope to get the car before year end. However due to holiday here and there, all I can do is pushing the salesman like mad.

Today saja call to Hyundai checking for NF stock and they told me that 2.4 model has already out of stock, only left 2.0 white color. And all of them are in KL area. The salesman can help arrange delivery of the car from KL to Penang.
CCC628 you sure can get below RM80K? Cause even the 2.0 model cost around RM100K here in Penang.

Hi Fred,

In fact I plan to drive all the way to Penang once I collect my car hopefully by next week smile_tongue.gif I don't know yet but once confirm I will PM you~

Well the RM80k offer was meant for Kia Optima instead of Sonata NF. And I have been told that Nf 2.4 is already out of stock. I got my NF slightly below RM100k and my friend in Penang helped to check the price in Penang but was told that the offer was very SPECIAL in JB and only available in JB; the best price my Penang friend got was around RM112k for 2.4 NF. How much is your offered price?

The Penang sales advisor even tried to get my dealer's number to call and confirm. smile_tongue.gif It sounded too good to be true but it's totally out of stock now; however I am not sure how much is the 2.0 NF and if it's still available.

Hi sifu,

I am just wondering would installing a different unit of HU would void the warranty or not? Coz' I intend to fit a reverse camera as well, coz' my wife is not very good in reversing car~~ especially big one life the NF smile_tongue.gif

I'm not sure if it voids the warranty, my warranty is expiring in another 1 months time and don't have to deal with the issue so far. If you are a DIY guy, it takes < 30 mins to put back the original HU once you are familiar with the installation process - in fact that's what I plan to do if my steering wheel audio control button is confirmed to be faulty.

For the reverse camera, you can try to search ebay (US) for a custom made reverse camera which replace/integrated into one of the number plate light, I think it costs around US$37 shipped.

In fact, Hyundai Prai got about 8 units of While Sonata NF 2.0 and managed to sell 4 of them, and the remaining 4 were shipped back to their HQ about 2 weeks ago. I was told they were disposing them at ~ RM20k discount.

Do you know what price they are selling the 2.0? smile_tongue.gif
I would have quoted someone smart here and make me look smart but not as much smarter as the smart one I quoted from. I'm smart, yeah!

didn't check in details. I was talking to the service adviser and he mentioned RM20k discount. Those were 2009 cars.

Hi all,

I've started a Sonata Club called Sonata Club Malaysia. http://sonataclubmalaysia.freebb3.net As this is a free forum I'm trying my best to keep it up to most of your expectation.

For all the 'kerja rumah' I did before purchasing NF, I've post it there and hope we all can gather there to share more information.

Any input are also welcomed.
