Hi Guys,
My Rondo EXS has reach almost 50k KM and the tyre is about to wear out from the stock tyre.. I realise that not much choice we got for the 205 60 R16.. Any recommendation of what brand? I would like to have a quite tyre and good handling..

Bro Sugen,

Had mine changed to Toyo C1S 215 60 16 at 25k kms; easier as this is Camry size. No issues about the mounting. You will find difficult to get stock size.. ;-) My selection criteria is the same as yours. Have been enjoying the ride so far. The price is a bit cheaper than Michelin PLC but hope you can get it at your area though. I got mine in Johor but Klang is the other place where you can get cheaper doughnuts. The other model I considered was Michelin XM1 though..

Hope this helps!

I've also upsized to 215/60 R16 2 weeks back. Using Dunlop Veuro VE302s at RM360 per piece and they are a blast smile_approve.gif

Comfort levels have improved significantly as expected (with the higher tyre height) and cornering has also improved (better tyre).

Downside is that acceleration has suffered.

Kevin,
So your stock tyre last for how many KM before kick in this one? Does this tyre affect your FC? My SC here do not encourage for the tyre's upgrade.. I just checked, Dunlop Veuro VE302 got 20560R16 right? Is this a soft tyre like Bridgestone? Veuro is new tyre design & is a product of year09. Made in Japan right..

But Michelin price is hight.. Another survey that i found for 20560R16 is continental CC5 RM 315.. Is a new tyre launch this year July... The cheapest is Dunlop Formula A01 RM 240... But, i got no confident with Dunlop unless fully import one..As Dunlop is well know of of noisy tyre..

Sugen,
Yes, it is a recently launched tyre and this will be my 2nd time using the Veuros as I also have the same size on my Sonata. They are made in Japan. Bought them at Hup Shun Sunway.

Veuros are also available in 205/60 R16 but it is difficult to find them and I believe this size will cost more due to the scarcity in the market.

My stock tyres (Dunlop Formula D01) lasted 35k km. The 2nd set (Falken ZE912) lasted 25k km. Veuros will be the 3rd set. Don't ask. I drive like a madman smile_tongue.gif

Ok la for you.. As Klang tyre is cheap like mad (i believe). My survey update..Probably will go for this Continental CC5 RM 275 from Prai area. Had call all Continental dialer in state.. most of them quoted RM 320... So i think will change next week.. CC5 is new tread and new tyres desgin launch in 2010.. Dunlop Veuro 20560R16 RM400..
