I suppose it is c-drive. Any diff btw two? My current tyres still 50%. Front tyres is 0708 and back tyres is 1407, so I thought of replacing back tyres first then next year will change the front tyres.

bro. wka,

Changing your Ely's doughnuts already? But the size you're using is undersized to the ori ones. Our ori size is 215/60R17 and next best size is 225/55R17. Maybe others can advice.

Regards.

225/55/R17 is closer size, but 215/55/R17 also can be used. It is just at border of 3% but smaller not bigger.
If the tyre size still looks okay can be used.... smile_thumbup.gif

Leong: Which tyre hv you change as very difficult to find 215/60/17. Any recommendation for 225/55/17.

VR: Tyre condition still good, as usual the rear will wear inside. The life already 3 yrs thats why thought of changing. Called quicksave, he recommend yoko db es501(Japan). Is this ok?

That is a comfort, quiet tyre. If your priorities are that, then go ahead....

Wet handling is poorer especially when slightly worn down.....

bro wka,

I have already shared the choices of tyre in 215/60R17 and 225/55R17 is our Ely thread page 4. But for the benefit of other users with the same size, refer below

215/60R17

i) Yokohama db ES501
ii) Michelin Primacy LC
iii) Falken Ziex ZE-912
iv) Dunlop RV70
v) Michelin XM1

225/55R17

i) Toyo Proxes C1S
ii) Michelin Primacy LC
iii) Yokohama db ES501
iv) Bridgestone POTENZA RE001 Adrenalin
v) Toyo Proxes CT01
vi) Toyo Proxes T1R
vii) Continental ContiPremiumContact 2

However, the tyres recommended to you are way cheaper than our ori size. At RM3xx a piece, they are way cheaper than say my PLC at RM580 for 225/55R17. As you can see I am using Michelin Primacy LC 225/55R17. Bro.roselan58 is using Falken ZE-912 215/60R17 at about RM400 a piece I think. Saw a lot of Alphards also using 225/55R17.

I was thinking to use that Yokohama db ES501 as well last time but due to unforeseen circumstances, I bought the PLC. Would have saved quite a bit had I opted for the ES501.

Regards.
