I am thinking of getting a steam cleaner to clean my car seats (fabric) then use wet vacuum to suck out the water from the seats. Anyone uses such items? And what brand would you recommend or are using?

Thanks.

I think most of us uses a vacuum cleaner to suck dirt only. Since steam cleaning will be done only once in a while, most will send for cleaning at the shop. Anyway, the steam cleaner is pretty expensive..... smile_tongue.gif

Wet vacuum is convenient because when we wash our car seats, carpets, and floor with soap, we can later suck out the water, carrying with it, dirt. Steam cleaner is also good because it cleans and sanitizes.

I found Ace Hardware at Midvalley selling Karcher products at rather low price (cheaper than hardware stores outside):

1) A2004 (wet-dry vacuum) - RM420
2) A2204 (wet-dry vacuum and blower) - RM630
3) S1020 (steam cleaner) - RM990

Other hardware stores may have the wet-dry vacuum (A2004) which they sell for more expensive than Ace Hardware (the cheapest I found was RM448 - My DIY Hardware, SS2, PJ).

Steam cleaners can go for RM3000+ but the consumer model is the Karcher S1020 which is good enough because it can clean your house sofa (3+2+1) even with 1.2 L water. Hardware stores don't normally stock C1020 but they can order for you. I was told that it only takes a day for them to get the appliance (price also near to RM1000).

Alternatively, you can buy the C1020 at an even lower price than Ace Hardware at Techotools S/B for RM920. They are located at Ampang. You can order online and collect the item yourself or for them to mail it to you (they said they charge a flat fee of RM10 per order, not per item, which is a real bargain especially if you order big, heavy items -- maybe they have their lorry which they send stuff to people everyday all over Klang Valley).

Your budget is very high..... smile_thumbup.gif
For some of us, even RM350 for ROB we think many rounds before buying.
For ROB many many rounds, and still did not buy..... smile_wink.gif

No, lah. I am not Donald Trump or Richard Branson. Just making comment that Ace Hardware selling the wet dry vac at cheaper price than others elsewhere. The home steam cleaner still expensive but much cheaper than the commercial appliance which can cost over RM3000 (but they spray steam like a jet!).

Perhaps:

Piuneer Super Steam Cleaners

Technicken Industrial

Ecovitta

But, frankly, all of them pale in comparison to Karcher.

Sure, can. It'll be good to get one. Not only can we clean the car interior but also the house cushions, sofa, carpets, pillows, and bed. I think definitely worth the price.
