Something interesting to share. Saw this Rexton RX230 on my trip to Cameron Highland. I guess you will notice that it's body height is much lower and if you look closer, the wheel is actually changed to smaller one that seems like a 15" wheel. Did not get to speak to the owner as he is busy with his family and I am busy with mine, just snap a quick photo.

I think it helps to improve body roll and handling as well. What do you think? Do share your opinion..

Found one at kota bharu, interested with this RX230, if have extra money, planning to trade with my dad sportage. I manage to talk with one of the owner at carwash, he told me this rex is quite underpowered but its suitable for old guy like him. beside, the roadtax is cheaper, fuel consumption about RM0.18 per KM. Search all over the car dealers, just found RX290, RX270 and RX320.

Hi Guys,
Just back from Koh Samui from long holiday,
travel to bkt kayu hitam, pathalong, crossing to koh samui with ferry, and back to penang.
Almost 1800KM done, excellent. smile_approve.gif
Travel in Thailand is really enjoyable, their road are wide and FOC, even in the remote area, they have double lane.
The moment we back to Malaysia, just beside the custam counter, we has to pay RM3.5 to use the highway for the toll. smile_angry.gif

On on

Hasher

FOC for wide road, thats very very very nice, unlike here, even we pay for the toll, the road conditions not so good. to be honest, I'm really tension driving back home at Kota Bharu. Very hard to find road without holes. Luckily my rex survive and the alignment still good.

With everyone sharing their tips and know-how, every Rextonians will have better experience and knowledge on their Rexton instead of being smoked by some mechanic blindly. Also when any of the Rextonians having issues, can easily share and seek second opinions from others which is extremely valuable to help making a more informed consideration.

Hi Bro,

just pick-up my rex, confirm it is bearing but not front right, actually front left ( humming sound come from front right??!!)
there are 2 bearing, part no 32009 and 32008 cost RM42 each. I also change the coolant and power steering oil, and 1 of the bulb for the headlight ( every month sure change bulb!!). I also tried out the Petronas Urania CJ-4 engine oil,Now I'm ready for our TT smile_tongue.gif

btw. at my mechanic shop there is a Sorento with a Koyak transfer case, pity the owner ( heard it would cost 10k!!). Sorento comes with permanent 4WD high or low only, no 2WD.

Bro Teerex,

don't be too happy loh, it might just be one or two injectors already clogged up, that why save more fuel. because your exhaust black smoke is just same as dark clough!!!! hahaha.....
