Hi Guys,
Just back from Koh Samui from long holiday,
travel to bkt kayu hitam, pathalong, crossing to koh samui with ferry, and back to penang.
Almost 1800KM done, excellent.
Travel in Thailand is really enjoyable, their road are wide and FOC, even in the remote area, they have double lane.
The moment we back to Malaysia, just beside the custam counter, we has to pay RM3.5 to use the highway for the toll.

Bro Hasher,
Do you need any special license or permit to travel in a group (if I remember correctly, its a group of 40 vehicle right?)? I know that Malaysia cars need to buy additional insurance to cover 3rd party at Thailand, which is about RM20 for 10 days and need the original log card or certified true copy where the driver is the owner of the car or having authorisation from the owner. Anything else required?
It would be interesting for us, the Rextonians to organise a troop soon. What you guys say?

Wow, every Rextonion become mechanic himself. Sooner or later, i must say only those knowledgeable enjoy their Rex.
With everyone sharing their tips and know-how, every Rextonians will have better experience and knowledge on their Rexton instead of being smoked by some mechanic blindly. Also when any of the Rextonians having issues, can easily share and seek second opinions from others which is extremely valuable to help making a more informed consideration.

Think you hardly find Rexton in Thailand because it is selling 2.8 million baht as compared to Toyota Fortunner for slightly under 1 million baht, that is 2.8X more expensive than a prominent brand there. So when you drive in Thailand, surely all the ladies will turn head admiring your Trexton.

Yes, I don't see any Rexton there, but every where is Vigo, 3.0 with intercooler.

Ha Ha, Bro,
I think u already done a survey cos your informations all correct. We only have 8 cars convoy, don't think we get any permit to travel.
Come to a troops to Thailand, I think we can only go up to Hatyai if no one can speak Thai.
But one thing safe is even u cannot communicate, in remote area, they price are still reasonable, you will not get slaughter. They are good people and wellcome us.
