vr2turbo & jackson: Thanks for the photobucket info.. Will do it later.

Alvin: Penang Megs just Gurney Parkson onlylah.. I think the other place is 1 stop & PISA which I haven't check out.

Current plan is keep claying & polishing panel & panel until done. And reapply PG Sealant which seems to make it shinier & shinier.. Once it cannot proceed, I will use some ScratchX or Ultimate compound once I get them.

BTW, all seems to use Meguiars? Are there any other brands of Swirl/Scratch/Compound that's good eg from Duragloss, Mothers, Autoglym, etc???

Gurney's parkson poor range la bro. best range for consumer products is one-stop (Authenticar, not the other one). you can tell them Alvin recommended you, i know them quite well (the lady and the guy in the afternoon anyway, not sure if same people at night). PISA i also have not checked out because some people told me not very big range.

Just to note, scratchx/ultimate compound are both paint cleaners and will likely remove all your hard work sealing the panels (ie. paint cleaners remove wax).

As i've mentioned to you, I'm not too familiar with AG and DG products, but i've tried Mothers and it's so so compared to Meg's. Perhaps others can comment.

the other correction stuff i use is Dodo Lime Prime, which i like very much, though it does not have as much cut as ultimate compound (and i think you need a lot of cut for the little red kancil). For your other car, the DJLP would be very nice. I believe many people use Meg80 and 83, but those are supposed to be for use with machine.

Just my own thoughts
Alvin

Hi to all pro here,

I'm newbie here. Would like to learn how to wash & protect a car. So far i've been used few product included cap ayam brand.

Here my experiment after read guide from forum & blog (kc & fishbonez blog).

1. Wash > Wax (car so fast get dirty)
2. Wash > Clay > wax > coating (shinny but seem that coating attract dirt)
3. Wash > clay > wax > wax > coating (same as item no.2)
Current use:
Meguair NXT Car wash, Meguair NXT Generation Liquid Wax, Soft99 White paste wax, soft99 fusso coating, soft99 clay bar+cap ayam.
Microfibre wash mitt, microfibre towel x5+etc

Would like to test polish but didnt dare yet coz scared will make more swirls & hologram until i've competent skill on this.
As member recommend here, All In One for polish? Any product suggestion?

Car: White Suzuki Swift

May I suggest you to clay then DG501 AIO Paint cleaning polish ...then your LSP.

After tht u might wanna try DG521 QD and DG951 Aquawax as topper bi-weekly .

LSP = last step product = wax/sealant of any brand
AG SRP = Autoglym Super Resin Polish.

Contact one of the advertisers in this forum to get Duragloss products in Klang Valley. As to why never seen the product before, have to ask the advertiser, why no main stream advertisements for it.
