Where Do You Service Your Hyundai/kia?

After so long owning a Proton, servicing is of non-issue.
Anywhere also can do, because any workshop, Ali, Ah Chong & Muthu can do it.
But, for a Hyundai brand, I'm a bit sceptical about other workshop besides Sime Hyundai or Kah Bintang Service center.
This arises base on my experience a few years back, when Sportage was launch, a friend of mine came to visit my office asking for recommendation to repair his air-con.
Since in-front of my office, there were a few workshops, I just pointed out one of them.
He spend about RM1k repairing (lots of parts change), but ended out, the 'digital' display air-con unit cease to function.
He then went back to KIA (no NAZA Kia exist at that time), Jln. Segambut, to get it rectified, and had to spend more money for it.
The moral of the story is, in Malaya a.k.a BolehLand, anybody with minimal certificate, experience and capital can open a Workshop.
They then employ other workshop workers with a bit higher salary to work for them.
As new car models roll-out, these so called workshop lack training unlike from the authorized workshop that sent their staff for training when new models pop-up.
My neighbour got 20 years experience in repairing Volvo cars, but he said the S40 model onwards got too much electronic sensors, that he have got no knowledge on how to trouble-shoot them.
Since servicing at authorized workshop is a bit expensive, bare in mind that there are a lot of fake parts, lubricant, con-workshops out there.
By saying that, what is your choice?

Same here, I have been sending my Hyundais to Hyundai Glenmarie since 2004 to date and I have also used Honda Glenmarie (Kosmo Cars) from 2005 till 2007.
Honda offers a bit more space to laze around but Hyundai has improved tremendously since they relocated from their previous premises.

Visited... Hyundai Glenmarie Service Centre, hick-ride a friend servicing this car recently.
Was informed, they got a 20% discount on this month of May.
Most probably, will service my car here in a few weeks time (almost 5k km already).
If I'm there, and the Sonata is already launch, better still...
Worth the 20km travel (one way)...

besides original parts being expensive you would need to follow the service/ replacement schedule and that although is great caring for your car it will cost you a hole in your wallet

Lonelyape,
Yup... original parts are a bit expansive, but might last a bit longer than the ordinary potong-shop or normal Taiwan/China made parts.
It's more of a long-term satisfaction issue... "you get what you pay for"...
All brand makes the same... even P1/P2...
As it's still under warranty, might as well go to genuine SC for servicing...
Today meet a 2001 Hyundai Sonata owner, still servicing at SC... so loyal this guy...
I now servicing at Hyundai Glenmarie...
Nice environment...
This morning, 7:30am, already there, got number 002...
Lots of other Car makes showroom also available nearby...
My next target is the LION next door...
Maybe later can test-drive the 308 or the 308T...

doing it in sc subject you to only genuine parts and so forth you might not be able to draw a comparison
a new car should have original parts fitted in.
my car starter was spoilt during the 4th year. I have replaced it with another original but i am skeptical that the lifetime of it is probably just another 4 years. And 4 years is probably too short a lifetime for a car starter.
