Now I see thanks for the Info.

Ill probably buy the kawasaki ninja 250R another 2 more weeks. Need to do more survey at other shops.
For now the cheapest is RM20,300+Insurance&Tax RM 24,000 Total.

Why the Ins + Road tax are so expensive ?

Road Tax = RM 50
Insurance (RM20,000) = RM 767.50
Misc charges = RM 100
Total RM 917.50, which is less than RM1,000.

So the OTR price for 250R comes around RM 21,300.

Hallo people, u think this is UK ka where we can afford to upgrade bikes easily? With taxes so high, I strongly suggest you stop wasting money on the 250cc because the ER-6n or ER-6f is a very good learners bike. You will never be intimidated by its power because throttle response is very linear and there is just not enough power to scare you. Heck, if you whack the throttle halfway open even, there is still not enough power to pull a wheelie.
So just get the ER6f or 6n and don't waste money on the over priced 250s, Kawies or the Naza. Ten minutes on it and you can see the kapchais tailing your 250, and you are paying triple, quadruple then the kapchai guys. WTF???
Yes, the NAza Blade is cheaper but how about its used value?
If you have plans for a bigger bike, get a used ER-6 so that you will not lose that much when trading in the bike.
Take your L first, then slowly upgrade to B-full. U can pay monthly installment for the license in fact.

And yes, I have ridden all the above mention bikes. Thank you very much and hey, happy riding!

Hey Ho Slow Mo

That's The Way To Go

Hi garyu,

just my two cents,

First you need to familiarize with clutch in all road condition (higwy, kampung road, jem etc...) and need to familiarize with "character" of having high power motorcycle. For example their maintenance, riding capabilities and how to ride it. But one thing for sure, ALWAYS OBEY THE RULE and RESPECT OTHER RIDERS/VEHICLE. Know your limits and ride carefully, that the different between a Rider and a MatRempit. Pls attain B full when riding 500+cc bikes. Police is everywhere maa, and your bike is always stood more then the rest of kapchais.

If money if no problem for you, then you can go for mid-end or high end bikes as what as other mentioned earlier. But do think deeper on this, as you may encounter problem when its end of the month. For example, your shopping item (groceries, clothes, etc), Makan-makan, or house rental. If you living under your parent care, i think should be no problem lah. But at least, more of your money can easily drain towards your bike, and not to your GF. For sure your gurlfren p*ss off maa. no money to b'day present or etc. Do think on your future realistically.

just my advice.

sory, just i still think it too much for a total newbie(unless someone teach him n guide him) to ride 500cc n above bikes..it not only about controlling the bike,it also about attitude, new rider tend to over estimate their ability and end up doing sumthing stupid..its better doing sumthing stupid in lesser machine...n it better for him to familiarize himself with the cost in living with proper bikes(not kapcai or scoot)...n he only make around rm1500-rm2000 monthly..soo that the best for him i guess...dunno just my opinion

but its true though about the price..well,its totally up to him..he's already hearing what the cost in maintaining bigger bikes especially for daily use hehe..so he's already made up his mind
people are people,no matter how "small"..respect everyone

Where you guys check on the new naza blade 250R EFI? I've checked with the naza world of bikes HQ beside federal highway and they said the new EFI model not yet out, and old model out of stock... i've wanted to buy the blade but no idea where to go now but only to wait for the new model.

earning 1500-2000 per month?
I suggest sticking to a kapchai first...

My personal experience is that a naked bike has lower maintenance compared to those with fairing that's why up till today, I still keep my naked Naza Blade 250 (as well as my kapchai) but will get a 600cc above for weekends. FC on the 250 Blade is pretty good (in fact more or less, at times better than my 100cc yamaha kapchai)
