I think most probably nth hppns, no price drop. Some people can always use the excuse such as the so-called AP holders still need help in their business etc.. let's not think about this sad fact that normal folks like us can't change. smile_tongue.gif

A min drop of 5%. A max drop of 15% for higher capacity cars.

2nd hand cars will reflect this in Nov, 09. smile_tongue.gif

I always read AFTA as "AFTER", so... AFTA 2008 is AFTER 2008, then AFTA 2009 becomes AFTER 2009, then AFTA 2010 becomes AFTER 2010, then AFTA 2011 becomes AFTER 2011... and so on... and so on... schla01.gif schla01.gif schla01.gif

Some info:

http://www.matrade.g...ANFreeTradeArea

Beginning 1 January 2007, Malaysia eliminated duties on 3,368 tariff lines under the CEPT Scheme. The remaining 2,291 tariff lines will be eliminated on 1 January 2010 to fulfil the CEPT commitments. These products are: automotive; iron and steel; glass and glassware; ceramic; and paper products.

Was anything effective 1 Jan 2010? Car any cheaper?
