hi everyone, im planning to do 2nd group buy on the kia rondo cabin filter from this oem company

http://cgi.ebay.com/...sQ5fAccessories

for those who have enough curiosity to check the cabin filter, here are the procedures. they are very
simple actually....

for those who want to diy the cabin filter checking and installations. here are the steps to follow
1. open your glovebox- there youll find two knobs at both ends- left and right
2. unscrew/ untwist the knobs using your fingers- no need for screwdriver
3. once both knobs are released, you will discover that there is a latch that holds the glovebox.
4. gently, pull out the latch.
5. now you have the glovebox totally released
6. you should see the cabin filter now
7. to take it out, simply pull out the midsection
8. now, see it for yourself, whether you filter is still in good condition
9. but i bet that you filter is all dusty all choked up

p/s i have changed the pre installed cabin filter during the first 5k interval. and today at about 17k mileage, i did some checking and discover that the cabin filter is accumulating dust. thus, to those who havent looked at the cabin filter before, i bet that your air con blow is increasingly slower and very dusty and choked up.

HAPPY DIY

for feedback from my first group buy, read the feedback here; from klimal and kevin.

http://forum.autowor...h...90131&st=20

here is a secret: klimal is actually a practising doctor so he knows how important it is to have the anti bacterial filter. ( klimal: dont be mad here coz im revealing your background, but nothing personal, simply business)

im pretty sure that your cabin filter is all choked up. previously the price i quoted for the first buy was something like the following

based on my calculation the cost cum price of the filter is

USD 14.39 eachX 3= $43.17
and add 5.99+3.99+3.99 (postage handling)

so 43.17 plus roughly USD 14= 57++

convert to RM (1usd=rm3.7)
RM210.90 for 3
so each item will only cost about RM71.

Just a suggestion. Have you guys gone through lowyat forum for some suppliers on this cabin filter? There are quite a few of them and I am pretty sure they may have what you're looking for.

Most probably Rondo is sharing its cabin filter with other models in Kia family, and if these sellers don't have the Rondo ones, just tell them your cabin filter's dimension and maybe they can find it. Instead of ordering it from overseas and face import duty/sales tax/custom clearance trouble. Just my 2 cents.

Regards.

3 months I ago the Korean parts shops did not have the Rondo's air-cond filter yet. Apparently it is a unique size.

Did not check the lowyat forum though.

The current price for the group buy is in line with other models.
