If his nickname is clazsique aka Desmond, yes. And for the fuel filter, nope no luck yet. Can order from Tiong Nam. clazsique can help us to get it too, when his supplier got stock. He mentioned his supplier ran out of stock 2 weeks back.

Just an update. Return trip to Kuantan only used 38.54litre of fuel. Range covered was 550km. I am using Michelin Primacy LC tyres with pressure at 240kPa. Previously was on 210kPa, so increased pressure didn't affect FC but improved handling. My truck rolled and understeered a lot less with higher tyre pressure.

Elysions come with heater at its aircond system. It is quite annoying especially when outside temp is low. Came across the situation when near Bkt.Tinggi/Genting area. It was raining, so surrounding temp was only 23-24C and my aircond was set at 24C. In this situation, aircond system activated the heater to heat up the interior air to be at 24C smile_disapprove.gif So now I am looking forward to disable the heater.

Regards.

Hi KoE,

Welcome to this forum. No specific dealer to recommend coz Elysion is not as hot as Alphard or Estima. But you can try Mudah.com.my or motortrader mag. You also can try Naza coz from my experience they have the most stock but a bit pricey. Last month they have a carnival sales price quite good, if you want I can intro the salesgirl to you.

Apart from what was mentioned by wka above, you can try Rahman Bros at OKR. Their Elysions tend to be of higher spec. Last time during my hunt, they have more 2.4 type X trim than any other dealers. So I think getting 2.4 type-X or 3.0 type VX from them is not a problem at all. But pls bear in mind higher spec comes at a price.

Another that I can think of is Pantai Bahru at Klang. Recommended a Mugen kitted type VX Elysion to wka before at this dealer but he was a little late in securing the deal. smile_tongue.gif

Both dealers above have local(KL) APs. So shouldn't have much problem in this regard. My type-VG is actually more than enough to server my need. Just that it is more convenient to get slightly higher spec, as mentioned earlier in this thread.

I won't be going after alphard or estima b'coz i think at the moment they are overpriced due to the demand.

So far i've looked at citroen c4 grand picasso (new), honda odyssey and elysion, nissan elgrand and toyota alphard and estima (recond).

I know this is a elysion thread but i guess you guys must have had a thorough look at some of those cars before deciding on elysion. May i know why the preference?

I think for that amount of money surely one has to consider every angle of their choice(s). smile_tongue.gif For me, almost same case as you, I had a look at quite a number of MPVs in the market.

Estima had been the hot favorite, especially ACR30. But once I chance upon Elysion, I realised Estima's price point is too close. In fact, the same as Elysion. ACR50 OTH is way beyond the price point I have set. And in this instance, we are comparing normal full-sized MPV with luxury full-sized MPV.

Alphard is another story. Was my next hot favorite due to its more metal for the money. Only cost slightly more than Estima of the equivalent year, but with loads more features and space. The drawback is dealers got too greedy. Difference in pricing between May 09 and September 09 is an eye-popping RM25k-30k for AS/MS (sporty looks and dark interior) spec ones. Even AX or AX-L also not spared. Price shot up from RM135k to RM15xk. I have to admit Alphard does have some pretty nice feature, space and interior. Features like Wel-cab seat, lane assist bla bla sound good. But it is just too tall. Standing at 1.93m, it has problem clearing some car parks, especially older buildings. Fuel consumptions is another matter. Some will say why can buy big car but worry about FC? Well its just me I guess. Being GREEN is the operative word here.

Ipsum actually suits my need best, but those recond that I met, were in unappetizing condition. Newer ones cost the same as Elysion. Carrying T badge in M'sia sure has its advantage I guess. 3rd row is a little bit tight.

Wish was dropped coz got no rear aircond. Proper air-conditioning is vital in a family mover and that where Wish failed. 3rd row is even tighter than Ipsum.

Nissan Grand Livina gets same comments as with Wish.

Proton Exora just came out when I was hunting. Actually not bad. Brilliant 2nd row seat mechanism. But being P1, I am not in the mood to be an experimental white mouse.

Lastly, the MAIN point that sealed the deal was, of all cars previewed, my daughter loves the Elysion most. smile_big.gif Yes, that is the most important criteria, after the reliability concern. smile_blush.gif She never failed to eagerly go on board the Elysion. Other MPVs like most Estima, Alphard, bla bla she was like refused to go on board. Except for 2 Alphards, which are priced beyond my budget; 1 2005 MZ-G and 1 2005 AS-G. So, when you're undecided, let your kids decide for you. They know. Until now, my daughter will be the 1st one to hop on board the Elysion whenever we go out with it smile_big.gif , but that won't happen if we go out with Wira or Kancil instead. smile_sad.gif

Regards.

Do let us know how's the progress. Busy body a bit hehehehe. Bear in mind this is not the hottest car in town, so only few places have stock. You're hunting for a new or re-cond unit?

If re-cond ones, you can try these places, as to my knowledge they sold Elysion b4. Maybe some others can help to suggest more.

1. Naza TTDI, PJ
2. Rahman Bros Old Klang Rd
3. SG Cars Damansara Kim
4. Pantai Bahru Jln. Meru, Klang

There are 2 more dealers at OKR that sell Elysion too, but I can't remember their names.

Regards.

Wang Selamat got advertise at mudah.com.my. 2.4 '05 at 167K. Can try there. I think Naza still got few units of 2.4 and 3.0.
