How's AMSoil engine oil compared to Royal Purple and Mobil 1? Has anyone used them and experienced the differences?
Say, comparing AMSoil ASL 5W-30 with Mobil 1 EP 5W-30?
I'm on Total 9000 5W-30 now, planning to try other engine oil.
Regards

There's alot of good reviews from forummers on Mobil 1 compares to others . Only that its price is abit more expensive .

As far as I know there is no best engine oil. So many brands, some like this and some like that, so how to define the best?

Yup, i agree. I would say good engine oils which protects the engine well, gives good fuel efficiency..

Best is to use the viscosity recommended by the car manufacturer or use something lighter (if possible) for fuel efficiency.
Looks like my turbo have to switch back to 5w-40 as I find the 5w-30 that I am trying now too light......
My wife's Sonata III 1.8 seems to be okay with the 5w-30 switching also from 5w-40.......

5w30 is seem too light for a turbo car & our hot weather. u can try 10w30 to 10w40 oil.

I was told RedLine motor oil (fully synthetic) is good for turbo charged engine. It keeps the engine cooler. Have you tried it? If yes, may I know your view on it? Thanks,
