Hi there,
My waja already 6 years old auto.

1)When i drive thru puddles of water during rain,my car will be like strongly forced back by the water. And my steering will like be out of control, the force of the water make it hard to control. So whenever i see puddle of water,i will avoide coz when i go on it,my steering will turn to one side and be hard to control.Checked that my tires are allright.

2)Also when my car go from a lower pavement to a higher pavement(1 inch higher) or vice versa, the steering will turn away to another side by itself.

3)When i go downhill, my rpm will go up to 2k.

Why is this happening? Can this be my drive shaft rosak edi?
Please help me guys.

Thanks.

1.Effect of aquaplaning.Only way to avoid it to drive slowly when raining or get a good set of rubber.
What is your current set?

2.Does this happen b4?seems like normal to me.However u can try checking your steering bush.
Maybe its already loose and allow some free movement.
Oso what is your current tye size?

3.Modern gb will sense incline and will shift according the condition.
When it sense u are going downhill and your throttle input decrease,it will shift down to procide engine braking.
However i dunno if the mitsu engine waja GB hav this feature. Can anyone confirm on this?

avionics,

no. 1, 2, 3 are all normal.

for no. 1 - make sure to keep your steering wheel straight (two front tires pointing in front) when going through puddles. Grip your steering wheel firmly.

for no. 2 same thing, grip firmly.

for no. 3 The auto gearbox will downshift to help slow the car down (this is called 'engine braking').
Poppycock..... is not a profanity :b

1) are u using NCT5 ?? NCT5 giving me this problem. After changing to turanza, this issue gone. My wife myvi also got the same problem when using NCT5.

2) seem like normal. As gunnerzz bro said earlier, check ur steering bush.

3) I m driving manual, no idea for auto GB. Engine braking is normal in auto GB.

gb=gearbox.
Modern auto gearbox will adapt shift pattern to condition and driving style.
No worry on the downshift that cause high rev when downhill.
Maybe u can learn to manipulate the throttle to prevent downshift.

I'm guessing u are on the Conti Comfort Contact?
I hav no experience on this tyre but trust me,its hydroplaning.
A known brand does not mean it wont aquaplane.

There are mainly 3 category of tyres;
-Comfort/entry level
-Middle level
-Performance

Comfort tyre are mostly for people whom wants a quiet and smooth ride.
So there a compromise in grip level.
The opposite apply for performance tyre.

The middle level has lots of character. Some hav great grip in dry but easily aquaplane in wet.
Some ahv same grip be it wet or dry but wear out quickly.
Drop in the Tyre and Wheel forum.Thats the complete guide.

1. Which car doen not give you this feel? smile_big.gif Good rubber only to reduce it to minimal, not eliminate it.

2. Thats sounds normal to me.

3. GB=gear box, kick down to lower gear so your RPM is up. Like in a manual tranny, when cruising on 5th gear at 2000rpm, try switch to 4th then you can see the RPM is up instanly.

Drive shaft faulty when you having difficulty to turn your steering in all junction, and when turn the steering like stuck stuck a bit then produce loud 'tak tak' sound.
Ram me if you can!
