2. What product you EVER USED ?
3. What is you FINDING about the product you use (as of user friendly-ness or outcome result)
4. What IS your ESTIMATE/MAX budget you can go for Wax,Polish, Clay Bar & Sealant (exclude shampoo, washmitt, drying towel, microfibre...)

My detailing exp is not much. My Previous exp is always as follow:
1. Kit wash and wax (2 in 1 product) Like this product as it always give me sparking condition after everywash.
2. Kit metallic car wax OR Soft 99. One or twice per year only.
What you propose??

1) Wax & sealant is to add a micro thin layer of protection on your car. Wax & sealant adhere differently to paintwork but provide same purposes.
2) Polish is to remove defects such as stains, oxidation, scratches, water mark by the use of abrasive or chemical cleaner.
3) Clay bar is to remove embedded surface contamination such as rail dust, overspray etc by shearing them off bit by bit.
When to apply..
1) Wax/Sealant- Depend on your routine for e.g whether you wash and wax frequently. Usually 1-3 months once with a durable paste wax like collinite 476 in our humid whether. A general way of indicating when to wax again; If after washing or QDing you find the water hard to sheet off or wipe off.
2) Polish- If your vehicle paintwork is dirty then you need to properly clean it via cleaner wax or mild sbrasive polish so that your wax can adhere properly to the paintwork. As for defects like scratches, swirls, etching mark where abrading of clear coat is required, whether is it neccessary will depends on your expectation of your car.
3) Clay Bar- After washing your car, when you swipe your hand across the paintwork and feels protruding and gritty feel on the surface.
To produce a exceptional look, you need to have a defect free paintwork which may requires all the steps depending on how bad your vehicle is to start with. My observation is usually a defect free paintwork with a 'pure' wax is enough to impress 95% of the masses and not what product is used on your car. Know the procedure and how much you want to commit first, then you will slowly come across the brands you need to serve your routine.

depend on dealer, if the 'service' is good the will do or else if the car is too dirty (water mark) even with after FAB wash...they will so call polish (usually they will call polish = wax)
Of course la, either how they going to earn your comission...MUST have super good service...else u jobless w/o knowing the reason...

Wow...very 'basic', well in detailing there is nothing that is always correct or incorrect....
Before we continue, PLEASE LET US KNOW what is your MAXIMUM budget you can squeeze out in ONE SHOOT (scary right ) if getting the following stuff...
1. Shampoo
2. Wash Mitt, Drying Towel, Microfibre Cloth, Applicator Pad
3. Clay Bar
4. Polish (Can be more than 1 (consider paint cleaner fall under this category)
5. Wax (or sealant or BOTH )
Optional :-
Tyre Dressing, Interior Dressing, Leather Dressing (if your seat is leather).....
Wow...what else huh ??

I told him off, how can you accept this type of paint job!! especially from beemer?????

hM, when trying to answer your question then i come to realise how seldom i used OTC waxes, lol. I can't give recommendation since I seldom use them except for autoglym and some TW products, but these are some waxes that may be found in the mall and should provide decent result.
Mother Carnuba wax, Meguair NXT GENERATION TECH WAX 2.0, Turtle wax ICE Synthetic Paste Polish, soft99 authentic, Autoglym High definition wax. There are many more, please do a little research on the price and opinions of the products such as looks, durability etc...

Except for Turtle wax, the others seems hard to find OTC. Sold only at specific shops.........
