If you replace the engine with Altis engine in the Lancer, the NVH is quite similar. Else, when not stepping on pedal on highway, when the engine is not roaring, you take note on its NVH. Just same as Altis.
This fatty donald quack is providing misleading information again. I guessed this time must have been some Toyota people stepped on your toes after Nissan. Besides, the exceptionally high engine noise, the tyre noise is pretty bad too for the Lancer with the 18" sports performance tyre compared to the Altis with the 16" Michelin MxV8 comfort biased tyres. Why not make it professional and measure it with a sound measuring metre. I guessed I can get hold of one. All the forummers are invited to witness the fact. Ride comfort and harshness is also below the Altis with the thin and wider tyres.
Bro jayraptor, sometimes you need to face the fact that there are certain weaknesses associated to any single model. Overprotecting a single model (in which u have demonstrated in so many threads) without the backing of valid data doesn't do you any good and people get even more suspicious about your intention. Honestly, it doesn't really need a rocket scientist to conclude that the Altis has better NVH than the Lancer GT. If compare to the Civic, both models have really lousy NVH ratings. Ok then, I might have high expectation for what is considered as good NVH.

Spiltfire & SunYatSen, yes, i know Des of KL Auto but i've not autofoam my ride yet but i've Dynamat the doors, fenders, floorboard from front to back incl the roof to accomodate my upgraded sound sysem. Autofoam is my last resort if i have extra cash and i've sat in same model which has been autofoam & it does improved further .
For those 1st batch LGT w/o CVT cooler, they have been installed by MMC early of 2008. However, if you guyz do go to LGT forum then u'll realised only selected cars have these "SLOW DOWN DAMN IT!!!" warnings coz these owners are SPEED DEMON driving at speed of 200kmh -230kmh range for long period of time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've went & came back from PG yesterday nite and was speeding around 140kmh-190kmh range and DO NOT HAVE the "SLOW DOWN DAMN IT!!!" warning.
Its been more than a year now since owning LGT, yes i still LUV this lousy LGT and yes it still turns head especially now that its loaded with 18" ADVAN RZ Gun Metal rims

No, this exchange is agreed with local distributor that the warranty will not void. THey'll even provide guide and assistance on which rim to go for and they allow you to go for quality good rims only. Besides, they have proper guidance from MMC as well on the rim change and settings.
Haha miki mao the lidiman, since you have high expectation for NVH, I'll suggest autofoam and soundproof or go for cars with conti feel or actual conti cars.
Wah GuyM really loves Lancer GT. Sounds like he's going to challenge any challenger on the road..

Cool, this is special. Well, the FD doesn't have this "SLOW DOWN DAMN IT" thing (but it will be nice to have one). However, there is always a non-digital warning in the form of nagging from my woman when 110km/h is breached.

Already fully autofoamed and soundproofed the whole car except the roof. Yet the FD still sounds like attap roof when it rains. With all the spending, the FD is getting close to a Peugeot 308.
In short, there is nothing really bad about the Lancer or Civic, but the poor NVH aspects are something that both the car companies should pay attention on. But then again, majority of those who purchase these models don't really care a damn about these deficiencies.

Current owners of Mitsubishi GT or GLS better pray this will not happen. Already seeing the news spreading like fire all over the internet and even from Proton salesmen.

sunyatsen,
Then i suppose u really need to dynamat the roof of yr civic and Des KL Auto would do a great job at reasonable price. Its really quite the roof once its done but then again, u'll still hear the heavy raindrops on yr large windscreen, both front & back!
